This was the worst class and professor I've ever had. The 1st 4 weeks of lecture was pointless and had no relevance to quizzes and assignments. The remainder of the semester was spent cgleaning information from anyone other that MrWilliams. Lectures are vague and information isnt tied to assignments. Take with anyone else it can only BeAnImprovemnt

Comment:

Williams is the worst professor I have ever seen. He offers no help at all. When asked he just gets confused and tells you that your wrong but never tells you why. Unless you know what you are doing before taking his class you will not do well. That is actually something he told the class. Unclear, confusing, and not helpful. He is terrible.

Professor williams was a great instructor. You do need to be proficient at excel but that is what this class is all about. I liked the fact that he has had a lot of really world experience in the auto industry with trend forcasting and analysis. I would recommend him to anyone that is willing to put in the work.

He does meet with students and responds to emails but hes hard to understand. Does't use examples, it makes the class very difficult. Group assignments due every Saturday . With the group work students tend not to learn as much and the exams are really hard to pass. No tutors or other teacher are able to help because he uses a different textbook.

Very tough class. All homework assignments are done in a group. Luckily, I had a very good group. If you get stuck with a bad group, you're kind of screwed. Mr. Williams isn't as bad as many have said. The class itself just sucks. If you're not an Excel expert, you'll likely struggle. You really have to put in a lot of effort if you want to pass.

I have always been a straight A student and have never had any problems with professors before. Professor Williams consistently called me out in class, embarrassed me, and harassed me. And I was definitely not the only one. If you want to be treated with respect, do yourself a favor and take this class with ANYONE else. Worst professor, by far.

Unless you come into this class with some type of stats, Excel, or operations mgmt. background, don't expect help from Professor Williams. He would often stare at the board in confusion and. His emails did to answer your questions in a comprehensive manner. He needs to retire. I only passed because I read the book and scoured the Net.

Prof Williams is one of the worst teachers I have ever had and to clarify, I have over a A gpa in my grad program. He is unclear on the material, gets confused during class, and is unable to give direction for students who need help. Reading the book and ignoring everything that he said during lectures was the only key to a good grade.

I have had Dr Williams for 313 and 371. You have to work very hard in his classes to earn an A. He answers emails very quickly and if you have questions he will work with you diligently to help you understand the material. He is one of the toughest prof on campus, but his material is also very difficult. If you want to learn, he WILL teach you!

This professor is quick to judge people and be respond to students based on what type of student he thinks you are. He may lose your assignments, forget to grade your assignments, or have an attitude with you if he does not like you. He seems to take his time lecturing because he forgets what he is doing.

Great Professor!! First A+ for me :). He gives a lot of opportunities to bring grade up. If you fail this class then you probably deserve it. Exams and quizzes are easy, but assignments are a bit hard and time consuming. Go to his office and get to know him he will explain and show you the correct solution for the assignments.

I also agree with the post earlier - hwihc is, he is not contemporary - he is totally unawre of the latest developments in the field. Sticks to the math, so not to expose his lack of knowledge in the area.

I agree with the previous post. YES the subjects are tough (Operations mgt for pete's sake in a MBA program)but you shouldn't blame the professor. I too found Dr. Williams to be very helpful both in class and outside (emails...one of the best). I learned more in his class because he challenged the class to tackle the tough math. He knows his stuff!

Dr W. teaches complicated subjects and provides equally as tough assignments. People have rated him poorly, clearly as a result of this, and b/c he is older and not contemporary. If you want to leave a class, learning more than any other class you have ever taken, pick Dr. W. He often responds to emails within minutes and is extremely helpful.
