Comment:

I don't know why this teacher gets so many positive reviews. I found this class to be very difficult. His lectures are hard to understand, especially when you're new to programming, and he always focuses on Python when that has nothing to do with the lecture at all. Also, his tests are extremely hard to pass regardless if it's open book or not.

Really great teacher. Gives you food pointers on how to code better. This class is very easy. Since you really dont code at all and instead do pseudo coding which is abc. This guy is very nice and will help you alot. The book he uses for the class is the one he wrote which you dont even have to buy book he will provide you one.

He is super flexible and helpful. Anyone who does poorly in this class must really not even care. If you want a good grade, he will go over everything until you get it. He is the kind of guy you could have a few beers with at a baseball game.

What a sweetheart! He will go out of his way to help you succeed. Hate computers...but enjoyed his class and lectures. Flexible on workload. He gives you the tools...it is up to the student to actually do well! Listen to lectures, (lots of terminology) take his advice and do the practice tests he provides. Easy class.

i took Gary for summer 1 and even though it was alot of work packed into 5 weeks i still got an A. He went above and beyond to help students. 99% of the class of an A or B. He is funny and very nice. I highly recommend him

Gary is one of the best if not the best CIS instructors on the GCC campus. Very knowledgable and willing to go the extra mile for his students. If you are going for a programming degree take a hard look at Gary he is the man.
