Gayle was a difficult teacher but I disagree with many of the comments. I didn't do any speeches on animals & I still earned an A in her class. I followed guidelines, turned work in on time and tried to improve my public speaking skills. Yes, she can come off as harsh but by the end of the semester I found her to be kind. Just has high expectations

if you ask her for help, she helpful but when she explains stuff...nope not good at all. shes so strict about grading it's impossible to get a good grade unless the speech is about animals. if you get her, i wish you good luck!

Not a bad teacher at all. All you have to do is find her soft spot. Most of my speeches were abouts animals and I got a good grade for all of them. She doesn't so much grade on how well you presented the speech. It's basically if she likes your topic or not.

It was ridiculous to have a final exam in this class. I went to class every day, did all of my speeches, 2 A's and 2 B's... she gave pop quizzes on a section from the book that we didnt even know we were to read. I got an A on the first test, not sure what I got on the final, but it was ridiculously hard. I was like what????? Wouldnt recommend.

Awful teacher. Just awful. Gave pop quizzes, a mid term and a final for a speech class. if you don't buy the book and read it you're doomed to a c+ at best. i got a's and b+'s on my speeches but never bought the book so i bombed the quizzes and tests. awful teach shows no sympathy for anyone but her self. avoid at all costs.

When I went up to make my speech, she asked for my paper. I told her that I accidentally left it in my car. I asked if I could get it after I made the speech. She said, "No. You get an F. You can make the speech because we would like to hear what you have to say, or you can just sit down and take the F." I made the speech. She gave me an F for it.

I think she may care to an extent about her work but expects alot from students. I feel she may hold her personal life accountable to every young person around. I know she has no kids and she is in her 50's and married. I feel bad, but then again, she never does. If you can take another class then do so.

UGH! Her class is filled with endless rambling about nonsense. On the written copy of one of my speeches, she actually told me that I'm not likable and no one would ever want to get to know me. Completely gender-biased. Talks way too much about her personal views. Bible-thumper. Dull.

everyone seems to hate her on here but i didn't find her class that bad. On days we didn't give speeches or have tests, it was her talking the whole time or answering our questions. She told us what needed to be done and when. Her grading is a kinda strict but my grades were pretty fair. If you like to skip classes, don't take her class.

She loves Charlton Heston and Roberto Clemente. You gotta love those tanned wrinkles on her forehead. Wonderful teacher, although a tough grader. But her toughness makes her all the more attractive. And Stop calling her "Sleazy Slezak." It's getting old.

she is ok but deffinatly dont get on her bad side. hands out outlines for each test sayin which page and where to study from. wants outlines that look similar to books but will fail them for simplest mistakes. not recomended

I thought she was very nice and helpful. She does talk alot, but makes what she wants very clear. Most of what she talks about is prior speeches students made and what they did right or wrong which I found helpful. She was very strict with grading and the time min and max. As long as you stick to your topic and time you are OK.
