Gave us an assignment to read a story from the textbook 1st week of school... flashforward 2 months we finally go over it Once you enter the classroom don't expect he'll stop before class ends. He'll keep going if we don't start packing up to get out. Pinpoints every flaw in your essay but you can redo it if he lets you

In his class you learn a little bit of everything. In his lectures, he would explain the origins of words and give the class a new word that he feels that is sophisticated and most students don't know yet. Overall, he is a very good teacher. He shows passion for his job. He carefully corrects every paper. He is brilliant, caring and understanding.

Genuinely one of the most intelligent people I've ever met. Has a Shakespearean vocabulary & knows a fair bit of literary history (his lectures can get boring though). Assigns 4 essays & gives a solid paragraph of feedback on each one, so it's fairly easy to learn what he's looking for. If you show up and know what you're doing, you'll pass easily.

Dr. Sadock spent each class period attempting to spark inspiration, fully explaining how to write each paper in great detail, and stretching our vocabulary. His grading policies were extremely fair and he allowed for reasonable revisions and was willing to take the higher grade between revision and original submission if you put in the effort.

challenging course, but highly knowledgeable professor and definitely enthusiastic about his honors courses/students. an A is possible, but there is absolutely little/no room to slack off, particularly on tests(which are thankfully take-home), and the term paper.

He is a tough grader. When you go to his office for help sometimes he is not in the mood and he can be rude. After he edit your essay's dirty copy and you think that you are all set to get an A, he will find more mistakes. He changes your words. Do not recommend him.

Tends to go off topic with his lectures, little to no homework, only administers a midterm, term paper questionnaire, and final exam, extremely lecture heavy, the book you will be getting from him is literally half a dictionary, his notes Are all over the place the only way to survive his class is to pay attention, do the work and have patience.

Professor Sadock is the wisest man. He clearly knows what he's talking about. His grammar skills are excellent ( if you are looking to be a writer or want to greatly improve your writing he is the man). He helps you one-on-one and gives essays about once every 2 weeks, except for one vocab quiz. Essays can be handed in late & inspires for greatness

He is a sweet old man but his lectures tend to be off topic and a little uninteresting. He talks so much off topic that by the end of the class, he is rushing to get through the material he planned to get through. He is a very tough grader but does let you redo papers that you did poorly on. I recommend this class if you are a good writer.

I had him for intro to religion at 1st he seems like a sweet little old man but dont be mistaken I tried meeting him once in regards to my research paper(which he emphasized how lenient he would be) He opens the door and greets me with a rude "what!" which took me off guard i started to stutter and he then mocked my stutter. he is inconsistent.

Anyone who says Dr. Sadock won't meet with them privately must have an issue - This professor is by far the most significant professor I'v encountered in my entire career as a student - without hyperbole! He met with me often - maybe because he was confident that was trying my best, turned in all assignments, and was ready to learn! Do your part!

Comment:
The most ridiculous professor ever had. Hypocritical and subjective in grade standard. He takes the class as his personal stage, talking useless and irrelevant info to show off his knowledgeablity; grading is depended on his mood, if you are a nerdy attend his boring lecture regularly he might give you a friendly grade, otherwise, you are doomed.

Really nice guy. Let's you hand in your work late if you don't take advantage of him. Always willing to help you. No quizzes only one vocab test. Lectures are a bit off topic but you only need to do the essays to pass.

he's such a great guy and genuinely cares about his students. he's got a lot of insight and he's willing to help you with the class, so if you ever have ANY problem, just talk to him about it. yes, the take home midterm and final are quite difficult, but you just have to spend some time on them and not do them last minute.
