Stewart made it very clear on the first day of class that he was autistic, not that I have a problem with that, but it really showed in his teaching that he did not fully understand the concepts of the human mind and human interactions himself, yet the whole point of his class was to teach us just that. He should teach Abnormal Sociology instead.

This teacher is amazing. I hope he keeps teaching. He has so much to say. I'm not too sure I understand Sociology though but I got an A in the class. Only had to write four papers and final. Which are super easy if you take notes exactly as he lectures. Not your usual Soc class. No movies, just lectures. But interesting lectures, that's for sure.

TAKE THIS CLASS only if you are open minded and patient. Make sure you take notes and use the definitions and examples word for word in your papers! Mr. Stewart is an amazing teacher and will make you see your world differently. Take it only if you will be open to new ideas and can respect his old school values.

He is legit, been a sociologist since 1950's!! Make sure to understand the Berger book he assigns, that is so key. It's ACCUMULATIVE. Class did change my life, the topics. The concepts can deconstruct the worn-out ideas you have. Very loving human being. Quantum physics guy on the side, clearly a very intellectual person.

I really am going to miss him, he really makes you think and opens your eyes to a whole new view of the world. It's hard believing some of it, that is if you aren't a sociologist. He had me laughing through the entire semester! I really enjoyed it! DON'T BE LATE! DO THE WORK!(not hard) HE DOESN'T LIKE COLLEGE STUDENTS WHO ACT LIKE HIGH SCHOOLERS!

George Stewart is the most amazing teacher I've ever had. I know people aren't going to be able to use this rating because he won't be teaching anymore, but I just want to say that he has more to teach me than anyone I have ever met. He knows so much about life that I wish everyone could know. I feel lucky if I learned ten percent of what he knows.

Well, he told us on the first day that his lectures would seem like they had nothing to do with sociology but that we would eventually understand the connection. His lectures were philosophical, no doubt, but they had nothing to do with sociology. Take my word for it, he advise me to become a sociologist. Don't even know why we had a textbook.

Simple. All you need to do is think. And try. And you will do well in this class--but most importantly, discover a lot about life--or should I say, "life." I'm truly going to miss this class. "We are all delusional..."

George Stewart rocks! He's the best professor, I have him almost at a guru cult like status. I'll never look at life again the same, all for the good. He's an awesome human being with a lot of experiences and insight to make us better people. I want to take it again!!

This is the kind of class filled with life lessons that you can take with you. If you only care about how to get an A, then don't bother. There is a deeper message being delivered if you choose to listen. He uses metaphors and stories from his own life to illustrate a message. This class is for learning about yourself and how you fit into the world

Mr. Stewart is a sociologist, and he knows how to teach people about it. I feel that I learned a lot of valuable information from this class, and I have to say that I miss it. I took this class to fulfill a GE requirement, but it turned to be a really interesting and meaningful class. Attendance is mandatory, and you get the grade you deserve.

Take him before he retires! Absolutely WONDERFUL professor. To fully get everything out of this class, you need to have an open mind about the concepts he covers in class. There was no homework, you basically do as much as you want for the grade that you want. Attendance is key.

I feel like a freak for saying this, but I miss that class. I kinda want to go sit in on a lecture... The class was mind boggling at times. Other times I wanted to sleep. Take it with him. He is the coolest old guy ever. His brain works differently than ours.

He has a whacky way of looking at Sociology. The class was easy, but unless you are on drugs, the concepts are out there. I do not feel I know any more about sociology today that the first day of this class.

Very excellent teacher, especially for students that are science majors. He ties in quantum physics and very advanced physiology with modern sociology. He turned me on to understanding why sociology is the only validated social science. He should be retiring soon, and I would definetly take him soon if you can - this class will change the way you look at everything. However, if you are used to slacking off, i wouldn't take this class. He grades very seriously
