Comment:

Prof. Gibbs was a really great teacher. He is passionate person when it comes to history and because of this I really enjoyed attending class. On the tests he gives you a study guide and u may use an index card, either 3x5 or 4x6, and you can use both sides. Just writing out the info. is good for studying. I highly recommend this class.

It's more of taking a brainwashing course about how evolution is so overwhelming. So it's confusing on that part. Does not like Christianity or the concept of God at all and freely express inaccurate principles towards it. Do not recommend taking him

Dr. Gibbs is the man. He makes the material interesting, and definatley shows that he has total interest in the subjects. I have attended an I.V league college, and Dr. Gibbs makes me feel that I am not at the university of Kentucky. He actually demands student's thoughts. Dont text or use your phones in class, or you will be rightfully humilated.

Not the easiest, but he's fun to listen to and if you take good notes you'll do fine. His was the first college history class I had taken and I managed an A without any excessive effort, but I also enjoy the subject matter.

very hard class and boring. never had a teacher put me to sleep every day like he did. only 2 tests all semester, midterm and final. he let us have one index card of info for the tests but theres way too much information to fit. gave us a study guide before the tests that covered an insane amount of info but only a very small amount was on the test

Definately wasn't the easiest class i've taken, you have to put in the time/studying if you want to get an A, not a cake class. Professor is extremely into the subject and i overall really enjoyed it.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! He's the only history professor that can make history boring. The exams are brutal and they're nothing but memorization. It's like "hmmm...what dictator are we overthrowing today?"

Very hard for a low-200 level course. The final was brutal. I pulled a C out of the course, should have gotten an A if he hadn't made it like a 400-level. He is very boring in his lecture-style, he will ramble on at times. The paper is easy, but the exams are full of his "Jeopardy" questions that are retarded. Don't take him if you can avoid it.

He expects a lot for a 200-level class, but if you go into history expecting not to read or write a lot, you are in the wrong place. He is very interesting and very clear, and his classes are a lot of fun. For Latin-America, take this class!

Gibbs: really nice and helpful. Books werent to bad... Tests: he gives you four essays to look over before the test and one of them will be on it. Plenty of opportunity to get extra credit... overall good class

very honest about what he expects and how you can achieve a good grade, once i started reading the books i was getting good grades, he loves essay tests, one of the books for the class was especially good but others were boring, he is a cool teacher
