Comment:
Giovanni talks with passion in his lectures and often asks the class if there needs to be any clarification on the subject. However, this causes his lectures to fall behind and results in the solved practice problems to be rushed and flawed. It is up to the students to catch theses mistakes or else your notes will serve you nothing when referencing

His tests are brutal and the one midterm and final are 90 percent of the grade, so be ready to be stressed by them. The hw was barely worth anything but still was super unfair as you got two tries but could never see what you got wrong. I did well, but even for me the tests felt basically random and the class was overly difficult. You can do better

As a person, Peri is very compassionate and cares for his students. But there is a massive disconnect between what he teaches, what is assigned for hw and what he tests us on. The final is worth 60% of the grade and is so different from the practice material. The average of our midterm was a 54%. Concepts are so unclear. Get ready to feel lost.

Comment:
Half of lecture is just proofs, really inefficient use of lecture time. Over complicates simple concepts. Unnecessarily complex equations when simple equations suffice for homework and exam. Is not clear during lecture on what is important versus not important. Office hours are extremely helpful, however. Invest in chegg.

his lectures are confusing and fast paced. his handwriting is barely legible. youre graded on one midterm and final, and weekly quizzes. the quizzes are online and you get 2 attempts, but you dont get to see which were wrong from attempt 1. the avg of our midterm was a 50%. hes a nice dude, but i wish i had waited to have a diff prof for micro

Prof. Peri knows economics, but an awful teacher. Let me start by saying, he moves too quickly and leaves MANY holes in his lectures. This lecture slides DO NOT HELP and isn't clear while teaching. At best, he shows us how to solve equations, but doesn't explain reasoning behind why he solved the equation a certain way. I would avoid his class :(

Giovanni is a great teacher and his classes are extremely valuable. The homework could be challenging but it prepares you for both the midterm and final. Make sure to ask him questions and attend sections. As a transfer student, I'm glad that I had Giovanni as my teacher.

I'll start out by saying the class average was a D- so it wasn't just a few people who struggled. One midterm 30%, final 60% and homework 10%. Everything was ridiculously hard including the homework, and he wouldn't explain things thoroughly during lecture. Didn't provide sample exams for final. Thank god for the curve so we all didn't fail!!!!!!!

He never told students where exactly our grades were because the tests were graded by his TAs. He did say to the class that the real exam will be similar with the HWs, but after spending 2 hrs on average doing and 3 hrs on average reviewing, I still did not see much similarities. I wished he could be more clear about the test.

Professor Peri uses practice exams from other professors. I advice you to study more for the hw problems, cuz if u only went over the practice exams, you will get a big surprise when you see the actual exam. His lecture and lecture slides are pretty hard to understand.

His lectures are very unclear. We are assigned pearson online quizzes (and optional homework). Be aware, it takes a long time to finish. The questions on there are stated in confusing ways sometimes. His office hours are not so helpful. I would suggest not to take him :/

He should not be a professor, he is not fit for teaching. He does not understand the basics of teaching. He writes extremely messy on the board. If you go to office hours for clarification, he is okay with explaining it again, but doesnt really do it in the best way. This subject isnt tough, but he makes it tough. He lacks the ability to articulate

Class was not easy but it was still rewarding. He's got an accent so you have to pay attention when he talks but he's good at explaining things and lecturing.

His course wasn't as bad as people state. I transferred to Davis from Community College andI took him my first quarter here I still managed to get an A. One bad thing is he is very vague at points.

Strong Italian accent, but understandable. Tests are rough, and place a strong emphasis on model derivations rather than application of the models. Notes are posted online before class; print them beforehand to save yourself from scribbling frantically in class.

Not the easiest class in the entire world but the concepts were easy to understand. If you do the homework, you'll be fine. There is little point in attending lecture. The TA will pretty much explain everything in a way that's easy to understand during section. Textbook isn't necessary other than for homework questions.

Multiple choice questions on exams were a breeze, but the problem sets were sometimes difficult. It was either you get it or you don't. The good thing is that even if you mess up the entire set, you will most likely get 1 out of 2 points for attempting the problem. Given this, it is quite easy to get a 15/20 on his midterms. Steep curve.

Peri is a genuinely nice professor and quite approachable. The material is not that easy, but he posts every single powerpoint online. I had to work extremely hard to get an A in this class and I am a 3.9 student. The tests were extremely difficult and there was not enough time, but the curves were steep which helps. Practice tests are useless
