Professor Jepson is understanding and really wants to see you succeed in his class. He gives 4 exams for the whole semester, but he offers extra credit and if he really sees that you truly tried he'll give you credit. He offers you 3 extra credit assignments worth 3 points each and those points are cumulative and can boost you up a letter grade

There are three extra credit assignments. There are also three tests. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT. The test are mildly hard how i studied was I would write it in my note book and type it in quizlet all at the same time during class and then as I was entering class the next day i would review my quizlet cards on shuffle as a refresher. I barely made it out.

This class was impossible. There are only three tests and three extra credit which sounds nice because all the reviews are great but if you have a super busy life do not take this class. It was the most boring class ever because all he would do is talk, nothing hands on and the tests were nothing like class. Only gives powerpoints to study

Mr jepson is such a funny guy and great professor overall. He will help you understand the material by giving you real life examples in every lecture and he enjoys every minute of it. As long as you don't miss class, pay full attention to his lectures, and review his slides you'll pass with flying colors. Oh and he gives extra credit too!

Professor Jepson is hilarious. I was always really entertained in his class. He emails the power points he uses every week, I used that to study. The tests covered I think 3 chapters each. They were fairly easy if you studied, but some things weren't covered on the powerpoints. Pretty easy overall though.

He is a good professor, he is funny and loves his job. However, he lectures the whole class time, every single class. There are 3 tests, they are hard. Therefore make sure you do the homework assignments even though they are optional and study as well as read the book!

Hilarious guy and he gets really into his lectures. One of those professors where attendance isn't really mandatory, because he will rant on and on about the same part of a chapter for a few lectures. But he really loves his job and a really nice guy.

Professor Jepson is a great professor and his lectures are very clear and well describe, but he talks a lot. If you take his course, make sure you are willing to sit and listen because that's pretty much all of his lectures. The only time you are not listening and taking notes is when you're taking his exams.

First, just get the book, not the online companion like the syllabus says. 2nd, very easy class. Three tests, three homework assignments due at test time. He likes to ramble, and he likes to go for a shock value when discussing certain topics (prejudice). Can be boring. If you want an engaging class, dn't take his.

PLEASE do not take this class. Although he is funny and friendly at times, HE IS SO BORING. Every class was the same exact thing.. him continuously talking and putting me to sleep. His tests are HARD, so definitely study and do his extra credit.

WOW! The only class I had trouble with out of 4. He's so boring! Tests are over 4+ chapters at a time. No HW & No book work. Only lectures based off of powerpoints only! Offers 3 points of extra credit only 3x. Doesn't post gradres on Blacboard. An Auditory teacher. Terrible professors, so upset with the reviews on here from everyone.

Good professor. Helpful and straight forward. Although I don't agree with some of his ideas I still enjoyed this class. WARNING: When he gets excited and starts to talk louder he tends to spit... So sit in the back maybe.

This class was really easy, I barely studied for the first test and I got an 85. Definitely read over the powerpoints that he sends you before each class. He wants you to use the textbook, but I've only looked in it twice. Four tests total, and the last test is not cumulative it's only on the last chapters you learn. Usually 3 chapters per test.

If you are not interested at all in Sociology, you will have a hard time with this class. His test are mostly based on his lectures, slightly on the book. Though you will need the book to keep up. As for his extra credit, there are only three for a credit each. Do them they are easy. And be very active in this class, it helped me pass.
