Professor Hinton is extremely intellectual about law, but I think that his lectures dont really translate to the material. The only way to pass the quizzes or tests is to READ. THE. CHAPTERS.! Also, he gives extra credit the next class AFTER the test is taken, so be on time and attend every class.

My biggest problem with this course is that it is not graded on a curve. I received a C in the class, despite consistently scoring the highest on exams (he tells us who has the highest scores of each quiz) and the third highest final exam score. I also volunteered in class every day, so I know that wasn't the issue. Great teacher, strict grader.

This instructor is a great guy but not exactly someone I would take again. He's extremely difficult and expects you to read and teach yourself. If you are someone who can't learn in that aspect id suggest avoiding this professor.

I had Dr. Hinton before I graduated at Fairmont and his class was really hard. However, I learned a lot of things that I have used in other classes since then. He will challenge you but it is well worth it. He will do anything to help and make sure you understand the content. Great adviser as well.

Dr. Hinton is just awesome. Although business law in itself is a pretty difficult class, Hinton tries his best to communicate it to students, and he does an excellent job at it. He's able to relate real life stories to concepts being taught. Quizzes and tests can be pretty rough if you don't sufficiently read the material.

Dr. Hinton is fantastic. Very nice and straight forward. The subject matter at hand is very challanging but he uses examples to try and help you remember easily. I recommend taking him as a professor.

Dr. Hinton is an amazing professor! I liked how he used real life issues to explain the subject he is teaching. As long as you show up, try, & read your book you will be fine! He is honestly one of my favorite professors!

Dr. Hinton expects you to learn but if you are having a problem he helps you find what your missing. And my grade actually should have been a low C, but participation in his class (which he remembers) gave me a high B. You have to participate. He just wants to know that you are learning, not what you can "spit out."

Very charasmatic, but personally not a good teacher. I had to retake B.Law 1 with Harvey and he was much better in my opinon.
