Ms. Mason is a pretty good instructor. You do not really have to be in class in order to pass. She makes everything accessible through blackboard. All study guides and and powerpoints are located on her shared files. She basically makes the test and quizzes look exactly like the study guide so all you have to do is participate and study.

Comment:

Ms. Mason Is a bit disorganized but it didn't bother me unlike it did the rest of my class. Her study guides are just like the test! Some self teaching was involved from her powerpoints. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK. Mine is still in the plastic wrap, we did NOT use it AT ALL. Being in class to learn is helpful, but attendance isn't mandatory.

Comment:

Although a lot of students in my class seem to have a problem with the way she teaches, I think it's great! The only grades you get are tests and quizzes but that's what I love about this class. If you do the study guides and study them, its a breeze. She tells you everything you need to know and what to study.

Disorganized but teaches sufficently. I would like to point out how many times she said Hockenberry or Meyers which were the textbook illustrations she'd use. In over a six week period she said Hockenberry 51 times In over a six week period she said Meyers 11 times. Hockenberry & hockenberry! BERRY BERRY! You'll understand when you take the class.

She is super sweet! I genuinely believe that she cares about each and every one of her students! She wants you all to succeed. Just be upfront with her and she is more than willing to work with you is all situations. The class I had consisted of only four test grades for the entire semester. Study well for each test and youll leave with an A.

I made sure I took haywood because i think shes a great teacher. Although she gets off track she is caring. If you dont study for the quizzes you wont make it. There are only a few grades so do well on them or youll get a bad great. If you miss so many days, she'll add 4 points to your total class grade

Mrs Mason is superb! She's a little frazzled and gets off topic quite a bit but if you pay attention in class and engage with her, it's easy. I did have to teach myself throughout the course but the material is easy and simple. She tells you exactly what is on the test. She's passionate about psychology and teaching students who want to be taught.

Mrs. Mason is a great person, not so great teacher. I had to teach my self a lot in this class, I went to class almost everyday. It isn't hard material, but you have to teach it to yourself. I wouldn't say to absolutely not take Mrs. Mason, because it's an easy A. Just beware of her disorganization and getting off topic at least 10 times a day.

By far the worst teacher I've ever had. Mason is disorganized, always late, and spends class time talking about literally nothing. I've had to teach myself through this class, and I still don't feel like I've learned a thing. She spends so much time "teaching" for one test that we only end up with about 4 grades at the end of the semester.

It pays to be at class, even though she's passive about you not showing up. The test questions are in order to what we learn (straight from the book and handouts). It was the easiest class I've ever taken. Yes she can be disorganized, but she's very smart and funny. I would take this class again, but I passed with flying colors.

This was, by far, the easiest and best class (with the best teacher) I've taken since I've been at CFCC. The tests were pretty easy, so long as you actually studied, and her lectures were actually very interesting. Definitely take Mason if you can!
