This is one of the worst professors I have ever taken. She doesn't value the class as students. She expects everyone to be a perfect robot. Her feedback is very downgrading and is not even helpful. She is very rude and very though. As an education major I was excited to take the course but after the first 2 weeks that idea was throw out away (:

Dr. Dainty has been the worst educator I have ever met. Her teaching style is not engaging and meaningful at all. She doesnt use rubrics normally and her grading is subjective. Her feedback is useless because it varies with whomever she is grading. She has never demonstrated her ability to teach in a P-12 classroom - she would never teach my child!

I learned a ton from Dr. D. Unlike many education classes, she make sure you work for the grade. Her lectures are great! However, she is a tough grader. She only gives rubrics for two assignments which makes her grading for other assignments very vague. She does give constructive feedback, though. Overall, I enjoyed the class.

Dainty really knows what she is talking about. You can tell she loves everything she teaches. I loved this class but you definitely have to work for your grade. You earn what you get. Out of all the classes I have taken, this is by far one that I have learned the most from. Go to class!!!

Dr. Dainty is tough, but you will learn the material. She makes you work for the grade and expects for you to be fully invested. I felt that I was going to fail miserably when I was in her class. However, I passed with an A, because I came to class and did the work. Yay, me! I also learned to hold high expectations of myself and my students.

It sucks that she is the only teacher that teaches this class because she is an absolute b. Her tests are hard and attendance is mandatory. I've learned a lot, but she is so strict and makes class not fun at all. Her expectations are high for future teachers which is good, but she is rude and inconsiderate.

This class ended up being one of my favorites at Tech. Most of the other edu. classes are so easy you have to try to fail, but this class takes some effort so it may be a bit of a shock. You have to go to class and really listen but it is worth it. Dainty really loves what she teaches and as long as you put time into the class you will get an A.

She is very strict. He does give take home exams. A group of 9 students worked together on a test and still could not average over a 75. She allowed students no to take the final but the cutoff was weird. Had an 89.1 with no absences and still had to take. Other student had 89.4 and did not have to take. Glad they are deleting this course next year

You will definitely have to work in this class and put forth effort because she looks at each paper, reads, and critiques. At first the class can be a little overwhelming because there is always some assignment that has to be done but you get fewer assignments as the semester progresses. I did learn quite a bit of information from this class.

Her test are hard....the question on the test are hard to understand....If you are not going to teach in a regular classroom and you are going to teach art, music, PE, she wants all the homework wrote as if you are in a regular classroom and are keeping these children all day..It is a tough class!!!

Dr. Dainty is a saint of a woman and does everything she can to try and instill true SPED values in a gen ed environment. Go to class, listen, ask questions, and make sure you look at the syllabus for any clarifications! Don't be afraid to shoot her an email or swing by her office if you have a serious question.

HORRIBLE! Don't expect help. She doesn't like for people to ask questions after class, and never go to her office. That is specifically for 'her time' or her advisees only. If you are in her class get ready to hear about the hard classes she is taking and the horrible things her blind mother is putting her through.

Wow, what an amazing teacher. She teaches so much more than content, she will really help you become a better teacher. She is GREAT about responding to emails and giving extra help. She always asks if you have questions. Wants her students to have compassion for those with special needs. She tells you things that make so much sense!

She is nice but not helpful. Her assignments are very unclear, and when you ask her questions she seems to not answer it any better than she explained it before. She is very kowledgeable but repeats herself. Overall I learned a lot but really didn't enjoy the class.

I thought that the class itself was very easy, but it was not because of her helping. She wants to talk. She wants to spend the entire class talking about her mother and her family, but everyone else just needs to be quiet and nod occasionally. She is very self centered and more concerned about getting her doctorate than helping you!!

She is very knowledgeable. She does however like to hear herself talk a bit too much.
