I enjoyed Dr. Lock! She teaches quite well and knows a lot about literature. She does take roll every class period, so make sure to come to class. There are no "tests", just in class essays and written assignments. Overall, if you read the material and write well on the essays, you will do well in the class. I would recommend Dr. Lock!

You don'r really have to read the book because she goes over the entire story, but i do recommend that you take notes especially in the book. She talks alot and its boring but her accent does make up for it. Class is relatively easy! I dont like english or writing at all and I have an A in the class.

I love Dr. Lock, however her class is EXTREMELY BORING. She makes you read all the stories, but basically goes over the whole story in class anyway? Had 4 essays, she graded 2, her TA graded 2. As long as you quote enough in your essays, you will be fine. I got an A and only read half the stories. But again, torturally boring.

Great teacher, lectures a lot on stories. No work besides reading. Have to write 4 in class essays and that's it! made an A in this class and did not read all the stories. She has a British accent and is very entertaining. Must go to class, she takes roll.

I dislike to read literature but this class was pretty easy! It was pretty boring as well. Gives two quizzes around midterm and finals and four in class essays which are basically exams.

if you are serious about literature(both temporarily or otherwise), dr. lock proves to be a wealth of knowledge fit for the avid english major or the run-of-the-mill marketing major et. al...you wont regret taking her courses--you will probably enjoy them if you "surrender to the air"

Very nice lady. Excuses any absences as long as there is an excuse in writing. Boring lectures -but it is English lectures! Comes in the first day with an "attitude" but stay in there cause everyone gets out with atleast a "C"
