Great sense of humor, bu forgot to teach us anything. Finished all chapters of the textbook. Avoid if you do not like working on Accounting all day and night, expecially working in groups during the weekday/weekend to finish a mid-term.

Professor Schell isa very entertaining teacher, he can go off in tangents, but its what keeps things interesting and he always relates it back to accounting. I recommend you read or look over the chapter before going into class so you can kinda follow what he says. If you keep up with the work and ask questions you should be good. Very helpful a

SCHELL IS AMAZING! He is not only funny and entertaining but he teaches a lot of what other accounting professors forget to teach... COMMON SENSE! (as it applies to the accounting world of course). I would take every class he teaches, but unfortunately he only teaches this one :/

Beware! This is NOT an easy class. Schell is honestly one of the worst professors I've ever had. He doesn't go over the chapters well enough and rambles off topic all the time. He doesn't really teach the concepts, he just talks and talks and talks then gives you one or two practice problems in class which are usually completely different from HW.

The best class I have taken so far in terms of usefulness. If you are a slacker though stay away! Homework is assigned and you must read the book. But if you are serious about business then I highly reccomend you take his class. He is extremely knowledgable about the subject and does a great job at getting it across to you and if you have troubl

Mr. Schell's teaching style is very different from other professors. You will either love him or hate him depending on how you like to learn. Personally, I liked the fact that his lectures are not structured and not "by the book". He uses real life examples which kept me engaged in class. He actually interacts and cares about you unlike others.

Very helpful professor but his class is challenging. Exams are extremely difficult, but graded on a curve. The highest grade on the final before the curve was a 76%.

I was forewarned about this professor, but he was all right. He gave adequate time to do the homework, although some of it was very time-consuming. You need to read the book if you want an "A". Very understanding. If you do you homework and come to class, I think he's a little easier on you in the end.

I have to agree with the last rating. This was definitely a self-taught class. I read the good rating and came to the conclusion that they must have been the exceptional students. They do not represent the majority of the students who struggled in the class all semester long.

Very nice & funny instructor but: I never got much from his lectures. He wrote all over the board & his writing was very hard to read. His homework assignments were unclear. He had no PowerPoint slides or lecture handouts. It was a self-taught class. Because of all of this, his tests were hard. Unfortunately, he is the only one who teaches ACC 305.

Prof. Schell is one of the most energetic and animated teachers in accounting. He is very approachable and enjoys helping students after class. He is very enthusiastic about the accounting profession and he speaks with experience. His exams are kind of difficult, but you leave his class actually learning something.

His multiple choice exams are impossible! They're filled with trick questions. His lectures tends to drag and I get bored easily in that class. Cool personality but needs to improve in lecturing.
