He was horrible for teaching Music Skills. A 1/4 of the way into the class, it was apparent that he either didn't want to help or couldn't help those struggling. I needed a professor that had keen insight on how to help. It was not him. I ended up dropping and retaking with a different professor. I had much success with a different professor.

Dr. Scandrett truly loves music and teaching people how to play the horn. He is very self-assured, which can sometimes make me walk out of my lessons mumbling about how awful he is, but he knows how to make me better and challenges me. He also doesn't mind if you cry or complain to him about your terrible life. He's a great teacher and a great man.

All I have to say is I'm so glad Mr. Scandrett is around. He's a great guy, easy to talk to, and hilarious. He knows his stuff- def. a book of knowledge. I recommend him to everyone!

Taught me the mechanics of HOW to play my instrument. Gets students to think critically. He's inspirational, and knowledgeable. Easy to approach and good all around guy :).
