She is not very clear with her lectures. I took really good notes and read the book religiously and I did every SINGLE extra credit assignment and I still ended up with a B. I am pretty sure that she just guessed everyone's final grades. She is kind of monotone and blah to listen to sometimes.

She is a good teacher. She loves biology but doesn't expect her students to..but sometimes her lectures can be dry. Gives tons of extra credit...you can tell she really wants the students to do well. I found her helpful and understanding. You DO have to study the textbook and lecture notes. Lab is super easy also. I'd take her again.

Worst teacher ever! Her tests don't make sense. The notes are useless. I doubt I will pass this class, I'm busting my butt and it's not good enough. Don't take this class with Jackson it will damage your GPA.

Professor Jackson is a good instructor. YOU MUST however take good notes. You cannot rely just on the textbook for a good exam grade. The positives with her teaching style is that she will grade exams on a curve. She also offers extra credit which makes up for the semi-difficult exams. She does not collect lab assignments. Lab is straightforward.

Nice teacher. You can see that she loves her job..but she should not be a teacher. She does not clarify herself very well and the tests are horrible. They are way too confusing! Go to City...they have better Biology teachers!

Prof JAckson loves biology. She makes the class very interesting and fun , the labs too. You have to study alot for her 6 exams. Great teacher tho !! Highly recommended.

tests are hard, questions are unclear...copy notes from overhead in class...her notes are very brief...lab is a joke--doesnt help you unless you ask for it...lab tests are hard because you are on your own to do the lab and you never know what she is going to ask on the quiz

Prof Jacksons class was EASY! I never touched to book and I got an A. As long as you don't miss class, take good notes, and attend lab you will get a good grade. She curves the class like crazy and lets you re-write the paper (one group paper you write in lab). Its a VERY easy class and I'm not even a "bio person".

I will start off by saying she is a nice lady;however, that is where it ends. She is completely unorganized, she misses class and the labs are just a joke. I don't know how I actually passed this class with a B. If you are not a bio person, stay away from Professor Jackson!

Nice lady. Not very clear at times. Her overhead notes are VERY brief. When taking notes, u need to write down a lot of examples she gives in class because she uses them on tests, not just definitions. Labs had quizez-not too bad. She gives u a chance to rewrite paper. She also curves the tests, which helps. U NEED TO STUDY THOUGH-its a hard class!

Prof. Jackson is incredibly nice person, and she obviously has a passion for what she does, unfortunetly she cant teach it very well. her test have almost nothing to do with the notes, things asked are usually not covered or emphasized. NOTHING IS CLEAR EVEN HER EXPECTATIONS ARE UNCLEAR!!!

Extremely nice instructor. The course is hard, but the study guide she provides is very helpful. Got a bad grade on a group project and she gave us another chance to improve the project. How cool is that! Take her class, you won't be sorry.

Comment:

Not an easy class, but Mrs.Jackson is the best! Very approachable, down to earth, and helpful. She will go out of her way to explain things. Study guides for each test are broad, but if follow the guide you will do well. I highly recommend Mrs. Jackson!
