She's so unfair to some students and the grading is automatically so even if you did it right but didnt follow the form you still lose points. don't take the course because every point is a % in your total grade if you lose points, it's super hard to do something make up for it.

If you are a Bauer Honors student looking for honors credit, LOOK AWAY!! Despite all the experience that Kacen has from previous years teaching, she has not learned a thing on how to effectively teach. Her assignments are vague and her grading is inconsistent. The projects have no structure to them and it seems like she is making it up to the spot.

She is a horrible professor anyone trying to take this course should steer clear of this course. She gives a project that is 40 percent of the grade and will only give 4 people total the forty points and will give everyone else a zero. Do not take this course!!!!!

Professor Kacen is very funny, kind, and has a great sense of style. She knows a LOT about Marketing, and presents her information in a clear manner. You are expected to read the textbook chapter before every class, and we do exercises based off the chapter in class, so there is a lot of hands on learning.

There will be 10 teams competing on a simulation, from where only the 2-3 top teams have a chance to pass with an A (given they make A's on nearly everything else - homeworks and quizzes). This is probably the most fun and competitive online class I've had. Definitely a unique approach. If you're into competition and risk this great!

If you are not a mkting major or are not interested in mkting THIS CLASS IS NOT FOR YOU. Thankfully I am a mkting major so I thoroughly enjoyed her class. 4 Test. Final test was open book! This was her first year where she had us do a SHARKTANK like project at the end of the year. Created a new product and develop a marketing plan for it. LOVED IT

Not clear on her expectations of assignments. Laughs a lot, in a condescending manner. Makes you feel like you're stupid when you ask a question. Group project was a very intensive Marketing Plan with one other partner and a mock Shark Tank presentation at the end. Project was difficult, time consuming, and stressful.

I really enjoyed this class. You are teamed up with a few people to play an online marketing simulation which I found to be a lot of fun (my team won :)). Would definitely recommend this course/professor.

The most redeeming part of the course was the online Harvard curriculum which cost $100. Kacen seemed qualified to teach the course, however, her delivery and grading seemed awkward. The course got off to a rocky start when she messed up expectations on an assignment, got criticized, gave everyone full credit, then said she'd grade on a curve..??

the honors class is for HIGHLY motivated students.you gotta read your chapters.the book is a MUST.i learned SO MUCH from this class.she is very knowledgeable and not as bad as everyone says.do your work and if you are driven, you will pass this class with a high A.if your lazy, you won't.if you want to LEARN, take kacen.

This is the most ridiculous class ever. Anything and everything she presents to the class is on test. Each test question is a paragraph long and her quizes are basically a speed reading quiz. Do NOT take this class if you don't need the honors credit. She expects you to know marketing like one of her grad students. Took a W so my GPA wouldn't drop.

Going into a summer class, you know it's going to be fast paced. This class was absurd. A chapter a day, discussion questions 4 days a week, weekly quizzes, and two exams. The last exam is comprehensive spanning over 20 chapters. Kacen knows her stuff but needs to either edit her summer class or give a review. Otherwise, memorize the book.

I took her for advertising about year ago. One of the worst teacher I have ever encounter. The material is easy but she tries to make the class too hard. Her exams are insanely tricky,and her homework is labor intensive. The subject matter is common sense but she tries her hardest to explain it to you so you wont understand wtf she saying.

This class rocks! If you're in marketing, she is a very knowledgeable teacher who has been extremely helpful. Be sure to participate, as that is the best way to learn. The projects are tough, however, you learn a lot of useful skills that you will need after you graduate. It is a very interesting and intriguing class. Definitely recommend!

Hands down the worst prof I've ever had. I thought she only had a masters and it was her first year teaching she was so bad. Her instructions are ambiguous at BEST and when I talked to her about one of my grades I spent 75% of the time pointing out the contradictions in what she was telling me in an effort to find some coherence or semblance of int

This teacher is not nearly as bad as the other make her seem, theres alot of work but way the grades makes it great. whatever the class average on any test or major assingment is becomes a B, do better than the average and you get an A, I scored and A+ in this class. Don't let her scare you, she's odd but the class turned out to be alot of fun!
