She is a tough grader. She's very specific about what she wants and doesn't compromise. If you put in the effort for her class, pay attention, and go to office hours it will help you get better grades and she will be more lenient towards you because she sees that you are trying. If you really want a teacher that Is going to push you, take her.

Not the easiest class. She is tough, and not extremely easy going, but she is absolutely great at teaching the material. I would recommend this professor if you are going to put in the work, because you can't just coast through, but it will help you out down the line.

Dr Oldham is a solid choice, during class she does a good job of covering new materials in an intuitive manner. Her office hours were helpful and if you show up she will do her best to help you understand the material. The only things that really detracted from her class was the group worksheets and occasional online assignments.

If you're fine with only reading the book then sure don't show up to class. Otherwise you'd probably want to because she clearly explains the steps needed to do problems. You can see her in office hours and sometimes there is an opportunity for extra credit.

Great professor and class. Was very challenging but helped in understanding all material so that you could be successful. Quiz retakes were very helpful and extra credit was given as well. Came out of the class very knowledgeable and feel as though I'm well prepared for Calc 2.

Most of the time she was rude and when questions were asked the response was "you should've learned that in high school." Most classes were spent working out example problems already worked out in the book. In office hours she would help students for more advance classes (Clac II&III). Made numerous grading errors but refused to acknowledge them.

Took her for CalculusII. People are correct, this is not easy A or chill class. You MUST put in more work that you'd expect (10hrs per week for A). She is a great teacher a because you wont need to read a textbook because she actually teaches. And attendance is crucial because you notes are your study guide for every quiz, test, midterm and final.

She is definitely a tough teacher, but she will make sure you know what you need to in order to successfully use math in the real world. Her nit picky stuff can really frustrating at times, but the little things could become big problems later on. She's tough and expects you to work for your grade. Her classes are not for the lazy.

She was the absolute worst professor I've ever had. She is extremely rude and finds joy in belittling students. If you do not have to take her, DON'T! You can go to her office as much as you'd like, but she will still fail you. I worked really hard in this class and always asked for help.

It is possible to earn an A in her class. I payed attention attention in class, read the textbook, studied for her quizzes and test, and completed the in class work. I took advantage of quiz retakes and her office hours. Her attitude can be rough during class, she usually is frustrated. Overall, I left her class proficient in Calculus 1.

I passed and she is still horrible. Screams at students. Has a nasty attitude. Goes extremely fast. Gives worksheets that you don't have time to complete. Expects you to dedicate all your time to her class. if your notation is wrong(no = sign) but your answer is right, will take off half credit for problem. Go by fast and grades by group horribly!

Screams at students who ask questions. Stands at board and does problems without any explanation. Rude and downright hateful at times. Acts like she doesn't have time for you if you go to her office hours and generally just acts like she does not want to teach at all.

If you have trouble with PEMDAS, Integration, or Differentiation, take another teacher for calculus. 311 is no joke with her. Learn your DEFINITIONS! You can't do anything without them.

She is hardcore. Good teacher for math and science majors. Helps you think and teaches you to be more independent. Also helps you increase your math vocabulary. Gives a lot of homework but has a lot of office hours and gives a problem session. Engineers who haven't really learned math, but barely passed cal 1&2 need to avoid this teacher.
