Comment:

Prof. Simutis is a bit distant and quirky, but she is there for you if you ask questions and show some interest. The class itself is a review of very basic math that you should have learned in grades 6-12. The whole class is basically "why does this equal that", and explaining the reasoning behind it. It's a simple, interesting class. 3 Midterms.

Comment:

Probably one of the worst math teachers I have had, however her study guides, cheat sheets, and easy grading make up for that. Gives exams back weeks later, and says she will post solutions online but doesn't do it until it is too late. I'm all for an easy class, but in math you need to know the material in order to advance. AVOID!

Comment:

Her lectures are boring and confusing. It hardly ever felt like I was actually learning anything in class. Mostly learned from homework and textbook. Don't rely on just studying her review sheet for exams. She is helpful but can have a bit of an attitude. Gave exams back a month later. Curve brought me up from C to B. Take her only if you must.

Excellent teacher, tests are take home and we can work with two others if we want. She explains well, not much homework is assigned, make sure to look on Blackboard in case it is. Take notes in class, that's usually enough. The only downside is she doesn't give anything back soon.

She is great professor who explains everything well, gives small amounts of work, and grades fairly easily. She also knows her stuff. Once in a while she includes problems on tests that we didn't go over exactly in class, but exams were also group-optional and take-home. VERY SLOW at getting work/grades back to students, but otherwise great!

Excellent professor. Taught Calculus and helped us with lots of shortcuts and tricks to make it easy. Very accommodating on homework dates and issues one might have. Don't hesitate to ask her anything. She'll walk you through it and make sure you understand. She's very easy on grading too. Easier than when I took this in high school.

I took calculus with her and what I liked is that if a student had a question she would stop lecturing and go over the problem step by step. Also, she's relatively easy when it comes to homework and tests. I liked how she taught this class.

very boring professor! she was so monotone the whole entire time. although it seemed as though she knew her stuff, she didn't have any tools to make the class interested. it was such a dead class.

I highly recommend her if Math or Statistics is not your thing. She will stay on the problem if you ask to her to explain it further but, if you don't you will be left out in the cold.She is very understanding and helpful if you make the effort. Book is expensive, no help there.

I have taken this professor a few times. She is a good professor and helpful. Take good notes and go to class even though its not mandatory. The only problem is that in each class of hers I have taken, she takes forever to grade the tests. In one class specifically, we received the final exam before we even found out what we got on the midterm.

She is helpful in helping you understand the material. It's an easy class. Take notes, come to class (attendance isn't required). Our class ran out of time, so she let us have take-home exams. Homework counts, but she doesn't care if it's turned in late - as long as you do it. The same book is used for 2011 and 4012, so that saves you money.

Comment:

She is a extremely helpful teacher that is willing to aid her students in any way. Some may say she can be abrupt but she is a very nice lady. The class moves at a slower pace than most.
