Comment:

Instead of having a set structure 4 what he will teach he kinda just wings it. Found it annoying that he doesnt write on the board he just talks a lot. However its helpful that @ the end of class he says what you should know 4 the tests. Really kind and funny just rather a prof that teaches the material in a way the students can easily understand.

Comment:

I have a love/hate relationship with Jeff. On one hand, he brings tons of personal experience and is an easy grader. On the other hand he gives such a ludicrous amount of homework that you pretty much have to exploit how easy he grades. If you don't like getting called on out of the blue, definitely don't take this class.

Comment:

He is a tough teacher, but if you read the textbook and come prepared for class he will love you! He does a lot of "cold calling" which means he will randomly pick on someone to answer a question so be prepared because he will remember if you're not prepared. Overall though, best class I have ever taken.

He is a great professor. If you at least put in the work and make an effort you will pass the course. He gets harder on you as the semester goes but he's a professor who cares about what you get out of the course.

Comment:

Riolo is a great professor. If you ever have issues, I suggest to see him during office hours. He is not an easy professor, but you will learn a lot. He knows business law back and forth. He gives all the test questions ahead of time, but be sure to record because he would not repeat. Reading and participation are necessary.

Comment:

Read before class as he'll pick on people, but he's definitely not a jerk as if I say "i don't know" he'll not force the issue further. Do well on first 2 tests so you could avoid test 3. Lots of extra credit, but you're gonna need it for term paper which is 30% of the grade. He gives test questions during lectures, huge help. Overall good prof

Gives the questions to each exam in class. His class offers SO much extra credit and exams are EXTREMELY curved. But, you definitely need to study for the exam even with a curve. Assignments are based on effort. Goes off on tangents in class. He'll call you out for not reading the chapter. Overall, he's a humorous, down to earth guy.

I didn't like his class at all. He calls on you randomly and if you were unsure he made you feel stupid. He does want people to succeed but I couldn't stand his demeanor. I eventually dropped his class and took another professor. He just wasn't for me.

I had this class last semester, it was a great experience as student involvement/engagement is a big part unlike other classes. Inorder to succeed you'll have to: do the required reading b4 class , attend office hours,record lectures, get good grades on the first two tests to avoid test 3, avoid procrastination. Prof Jeff is always there to help.

no going to say he is a bad guy since he is not, but I had my grandma pass away during the semester. which made me major depressed and could not think so well. I emailed him asking if I could take a midterm an other day or during office hours since my grandmas funeral happened to land on a midterm day. he told me i could not take it any other day

Professor Riolo is an awesome dude. This class isn't a piece of cake but you WILL get a good grade if you put in the work. Riolo sets you up for success and the homework, grading criteria, Test days, etc. are extremely clear. Assignments aren't difficult but a little time consuming. Tests cover a lot of information but it's mostly just memorization. He gives you all the test questions in class so show up and take notes and you'll be fine. If you make a sacrifice to study hard (all nighters, flash cards, whatever) you can easily ace the tests no problem. Come on people, this is college, put in some effort and this class is an easy good grade!

One of the best professors at Mesa college! His lectures are fun and very interesting. He knows for sure what he is talking about! Very intelligent person. To succed in this class you just need to read the book chapters or summaries and do your homework! I would definitely take this class again!

Comment:

Riolo was an amazing professor. He truly cares about your education and wants you to succeed. As long as you do the chapter reading you will get an A in the class. Tip: do outlines for each chapter as you read them. If you do an outline for every chapter you get a cheat sheet for the final (and trust me, you will want the cheat sheet!)

Homework "busywork" heavy. If there's a different prof. for business law available to you, avoid Riolo. At the end of the semester he lets you decide your own grade. Questions every student about the reading. LONG term paper due at the end of semester.

Riolo is a great professor and his class is interesting! His assignments take time but he is not a tough grader and he accept late papers. Read, at least the overview of the chapter! Show up to class, take notes and listen to his advice and you'll get an A.

TAKE HIS CLASS! Pro Riolo is the nicest professor! Assignments are easy, just do them and don't procrastinate. He accepts late work! :) He's straight-up and will call you out if you're slacking (WHICH IS GOOD), but he's also very lenient and helpful. Go to his office hours and he'll literally give you the answers to everything.

Professor Riolo has been the best professor I have had throughout my entire academic career. He is so knowledgeable. He forces you to participate and if you do not like being put on the spot then you will have to learn to. I loved this about him because it kept the entire class engaged. Highly recommend him for any business student.
