Good teacher. She is crystal clear & gives gives lots of extra credit opportunities. She relates statistics to everyday life, which helps everyone to understand. She's not the usual math-robot who can't relate to students who don't get it. She's VERY OBVIOUS (during lecture) about what will be on the tests & gives out sample problems for the tests.

its funny how people want teachers to have good personalities. i thought she was funny. she always made fun of me for being a yankee fan but whatever i aced all her exams! it was my 2nd time taking it. i failed and dropped the 1st time. she is very clear. i feel like i owe her lunch lol. i RECOMMEND her! ended up with a B (cumm. final)

I did not like her attitude at all, I passed the class with an A but becuase I would always go to a tutor. . if you try you will pass the class, but if you have another choice besides this class just take it

While she can be nice, she can be a complete jerk at times. She honestly does not care about the students on a personal level too much so don't take her if you're looking for a wonderful student-teacher connection. I still managed to get a B in the end. She is not an easy teacher but the class is still passable (:

Honestly she is not that terrible. Yea, she can be alittle biased, or rude but if you copy down all her notes well, ask questions, study th enotes for the test of even the little review she gives. Come on I hate math and failed 71 once, but passed her class wit a C while taking it 6 weeks. All you need ot do is try.

This is not an easy course to begin with, and having Galbraith does not make it any easier. Her class is as interesting as popping bubble wrap, though I wouldn't want to insult such a useful packing material. She is unclear, unhelpful, and does not seek student approval or understanding. Avoid if possible.

THIS is not a class for the weak. About half the class was gone before FINAL! Don't give up though! She's very FAIR & offers HELP whenever needed. One thing I didn't like was that she taught a little too fast. Keeps you on your toes! HW & Attendance is MANDATORY if you want to pass! 3 TESTS - 3 CHs each, CUMULATIVE FINAL drops LOWEST test score.

*Continued* My advice: Go EVERY day, Focus, & get at least B's on the TESTS to get a decent grade. She gives a LOT of X-tra Cred. opportunities too, review pts on tests are worth up to 10%! Pts for the DAY are added & worth HALF a percent on OVERALL grade! Just keep volunteering! I worked my a55 off. It was worth it. A - 97%

EXTREMELY HARD! Do not take this class. I took Pre-Algebra first with Abbott and got an A. Now I'm in this class and I'm pretty sure I'm failing. She goes WAY too fast and you HAVE to learn two sections a day and keep up or else your screwed. She does not care if you don't understand it and acts like you are a pain if you ask for help.

She is very straight forward with her lectures, study guides as well as tests. Do your homework regularly and ask questions then you'll be fine. She asks questions for the day points. I knew the answers half the time, but was afraid to raise my hand. So just do it, you won't lose points. If you get it right, it's one point extra credit.

She seems nice enough at first- but then her bad side starts to show. She was condescending to the students,rushed through the material, and made snide comments like "This is easy" and "you should know this stuff, it's 8th grade work". If we knew the material we would not be in the class! I recommend you take someone else.

I agree!! Do not trust those ratings. Galbraith knows this site. I busted my ass everyday in and out of her class. Galbraith knew that and she still gave me any but a rather decent grade. She has to be the most inconsiderate teacher at Mt. Sac! DONT TAKE HER!

She is a pretty good teacher. She didn't make it hard to pass the class at all. I am not a math person. I dread math, but she didn't make it so bad and she's pretty understanding. Take her if you always have a hard time in math, she's very clear with describing problems.

I really liked Jennifer. Although Statistics is not an easy subject, she made it seam effortless(but not in a geek like manner). She made the subject easy to relate the subject to use in everyday life. She is funny, but in a cool way.
