Professor Price makes you work a lot in her class, and her grading system is also really flawed. Not to mention the crazy amounts of reading and writing that are due each week. Only take this class if you have a lot of free time or love physical anthropology. Also, she is very hard to reach in her emails.

I really enjoyed professors Price's class. She really challenges her students to think critically with her in-depth questions. Her class is reading intensive and writing intensive which I struggled with at first but its doable it you stay on top of it. After taking her class I think that my writing has improved tremendously.

Complicated weekly assignments (some including 1+ hours of observation on top of the weekly reading, module, and quiz). Manageable as long as you at least stay on top of the module readings.

Professor Price is very responsive and available, and she is very up-front in her requirements. It really is all there in the syllabus. She expects regular participation, but isn't big into heavy research papers or panic-inducing pop quizzes. Keep up and you'll be just fine.

Took her online Cultural Anthropology class, it was amazing. She knows exactly what she is talking about, and keeps her lectures short. Not a blow off class - her questions are incredibly well thought out and test your critical thinking skills. Her choices of readings are informative and very interesting! I loved all of it and learned so much!

I took her online med anthro class. Excellent online instructor! She noticed I had stopped doing homework and participating in discussions, and reached out to me and asked how she could help me. She genuinely wants to help you learn. Light on homework, but final project requires finding and interviewing someone.

Amazing teacher. Clear grading criteria, fun projects, interesting readings, etc. Just be careful to answer ALL parts to the essay questions; you will get docked points if you don't! Also there is a TON of reading involved. Midterm and final focus mainly on the textbook though. Overall, a VERY generous grader as long as you follow instructions

really enjoyed this teacher. super clear grading criteria. straight forward grader, no curve balls. weekly discussion post and short writing assignment each week, 1 midterm, 1 non cumulative final. only downside is you need 4 textbooks. easy to get good grades as long as you read and put in effort in your writing. highly recommend for an easy pass!

Took this class in the summer. There was weekly discussion posts, lots of reading (going between 4 books), and weekly essay questions. I suggest do not get behind on the weekly readings because it can be hard to catch up on all the assignments (but then again it was summer). I really enjoyed the class. Getting an A is easy if you do the work.

Not done taking this class but really enjoying it. Online classes can sometimes make you feel like you are working in a vacuum but Ms. Price is very accessible. Grades assignments quickly, answers student's questions promptly and always gives feedback on homework and discussion posts. There is quite a bit of reading, but the books are engaging.

Prof Price is AMAZING. She gives the best feedback of any college professor I've ever had (went to private uni and CC), she's passionate about her field, and everything is interesting. She reads everything you write and if you give thoughtful responses she will give thoughtful feedback. Fair grader: If you put in work you'll get an A.

Took her Summer anthropology class. It is a trap. Do not do it. You will be reading hundreds of pages of week and have multiple papers to write on the regular. But if you have no friends and enjoy reading all day, every day during your Summers, then you will love this class!

Professor Price seems like a lovely person, however, she is THE slowest grader. A week away from the final and we still haven't received our grade for half the midterm and the assignments that followed. Her weekly writing assignments can also be tricky at times, Must get everything down to get full points.

Assignments/discussions are somewhat easy but reading is typically 200 or so pages per week which was overwhelming in addition to 45 minute videos required before contributing to discussions. If you are a slow reader or don't have great reading comprehension, expect this class to take up a majority of your time.

This class was easy but required a lot of reading and writing. Books were pretty interesting and you could get away with not reading them in their entirety. Discussion posts are graded more on credit whereas the assignment posts are graded on content(you can lose a few points). Reference the readings, and you'll be golden. I got over 100%

I really liked this class. INteresting subject and I liked the fieldwork project we did. Didn't like one of hte books but professor asked our opinion and none of us liked it so don't think she is using it again. The other book was really good and we got to choose our own ethnography to read. I recommend this class and professor.

Took it during summer. Took forever to grade. SOO much reading, but interesting books. You need to quote books in your papers. Wish I didn't put so much effort into the essays cause she just hands out full points. One-liner essay comments on hours of work...
