Comment:
Excellent professor. Teaches crystal clear. I have never ever seen a professor who explains concepts as clear as Dr. Kelly does. He even makes the hardest concepts easy to understand. Yes, he's hard - but if your goal is to actually learn something - Dr. Kelly is your professor.

Comment:
Ugh, Kelly chooses to teach the whole first half of the class using poker, which is ridiculous and confusing for those of us who have never played. What happened to using coins and marbles like everyone else? He's not very clear and is somewhat difficult to follow. Exams and homework are difficult and too complicated for a 500 level class. Avoid.

Jerry Kelly is hilarious! This was a very difficult class, but I learned a ton! I came in with no stats background and was able to understand all the content. He wants everyone to succeed and works very hard to help his students. Just an all round great guy and great course! Highly recommended!

Comment:
Rather tough course if it's your first intro to regression theory. He takes no prisoners in his lectures but the curves on the test scores are fair. He bell curves, so the highest score is automatically an A+ and the lowest fails. As all tests are open book/open notes, I suggest correcting your homeworks when he goes over them so you can refer back. Also, beware tricky questions regarding the logic inherent in definitions.

Very difficult class, but he is fair and always willing to help. Manages to make statistics tolerable if not quite enjoyable.

Lectures non-stop, do not have a opportunity to ask any questions in class, and if you do be prepared to feel stupid.
