Professor Burkhard, is clearly an expert in the area, I think he just moves way to quickly sometimes for students to keep up. I'm not sure if he cares about his students or not (there are times I thought he did and didn't). His exam is a nightmare, but everybody thinks so and the curve is relatively kind. Won't take him again.

Comment:
Agency, Partnership, & LLC is a must-take class. Professor Burkhard is not nearly as miserable as he was in 1L property. He cares about the students and the course material. Class was easy; Professor Burkhard doesn't cold-call or grill people who try to answer questions. The exam was probably the hardest/most time consuming I have ever taken.

Took this class, and got an A. But he made me want to just quit law school, not because it was too hard, but because he is just such a miserable human being. Do EVERYTHING you can to avoid this guy. Oh and he met his wife while he was teaching her, creep.

If you will practice in SC, take this class. Almost every topic was supplemented with relevant and very helpful South Carolina cases. There was a huge amount of information to absorb and students used to taking shortcuts with supplements will struggle. Hardest exam of my entire life, which is great if you seek to distinguish yourself.

I had Burkhard for Property I and II (LAWS 510&511) and he was great! I would recommend him to anyone. Very practical, know what he is talking about. Keep in mind he isn't the easiest prof, but it is worth it.

One of the best professors I've ever had. He is there to TEACH- and is very detailed and thorough. He stays on track with the syllabus, and is always up to date on the latest legal developments.

Brutally hard...but so worth it. You will learn how to think like a lawyer after taking his first year property class. Everything else after this class is downhill...He is very, very approachable in his office, go see him if you are lost/struggling!
