Best prof ever!!! Very caring man! Loves when you debate if God is a man or woman. Overall as theology goes, best prof you can possibly have for a 101 class!

I am also an alumna who went on to study theology at a top rated graduate program. Dr. Hallman was the reason I became so interested in theology. He loves when students question. It's the whole point to LEARNING. Most supportive prof I ever had.

He's a nice person, tries to make things easy for you. But, he doesn't really make things clear. He can be hard grader, but tries to make things easy for you.

Nice man, kinda interesting.. If he's teaching Evil and the Suffering of God take it, one essay is 60% of your grade...

Good organized teacher, you learn quickly what he expects and from there it is easy to keep on top of things. He doesnt make you do much memorization which is excellent. You are expected to read quite a bit of material however.

I'm an alumna, but Dr. Hallman is the reason I went on to study theology at a top school. To say that your grade is based on whether you agree with him or not is ridiculous. He's an excellent professor, provided you're willing to open your mind up a bit.

Hallman seems desperate. He side tracks a lot and doesn't back up his knowledge in a coherent manner. I think he fears for his job. The fact that the course is entirely subjective doesn't help either.

Like the others said, disagree with what he says and watch out for your grade. One page papers once a week and quizzes once a week. Exams were all essay and 75% of your grade is subjective. If there is a different section open, take it!

The man knows a lot about the bible, but prove him wrong or start questioning his theories and you had best lookout for your grade. I had to fight tooth and nail with him to get a B out of his class.
