Really nice professor. Extremely nice, but his tests were very hard. I took it during the summer and got a D on the midterm and final. Hes super nice, but really hard test giver.

He is a very nice man, however he does not grade well. He loses things and when you take it to him he still doesnt put them in. He doesnt give you a study guide for anything. boring and speaks low. dont take i hated him as well as many of my friends

Okay...Here's the truth. Dr. A is a very nice person. He's very approachable and kind. However, he is probably the least talented conductor I have ever worked with. Although he knows his theory (there's a reason there's a DMA behind his name), he has no idea how to make the material enjoyable or even interesting.

The immature spoiled and entitled students that wrote comments just previous to mine are just that; disrespectful and unprofessional;and they want to be musicians? Dr. Augenbick is a talented, wise and mature motivator who is directly responsible for my own musical expertise, sensitivity and enjoyment. His classes in Mus. History are enlightening.

Only a lazy student would like this Professor. He is super easy and boring, fact free and opinionated. His class was my favorite nap time. Needs to learn how to prepare and inspire a choir to even a mediocre level. Make sure to check out any scholarship or other offers from him properly before making any major decisions.I Hope FIU does a P.E. soon

He's a nice prof. and enjoys what he teaches. This class is quite easy if you do your work. The only thing is that I had him in a rather large class and he became frustrated whenever some students spoke during his lecture, so he'd stop often to tells those making noise to stop and it was a bit distracting. Overall, I'd recommend him.

I took this course in the summer and it was easy. Easy in the sense if you study for the 2 test you'll do fine. There two mini music essays but they were not difficult. The group project was a pain but fun when we performed it. So just study for the tests, he gives out study quides :)

Mr. Augenblick is a very sweet professor. Attendance is not taken, BUT GO EVERYDAY to pass the class. He gave 2 tests, not cumulative. & his reviews are good! Just dont talk when he's talking, not only is it rude, but he doesnt like it. Theres a group project, which actually isnt that bad. Its a bore, but he's not a bad teacher! Easy class.

This prof is a sweetheart. Hes too nice.My class was always rowdy and would be disrespectful & would leave right in the middle of lecture. He got mad 1 day and made the rest that were still in class take attendance. Dont take advantage of his niceness, or he will be strict. Overall easy class. 2 tests. 1 final group project which was fun @ the end

i didn't know anything about music until his class. he teaches really well and is open to answering questions. You have to attend class to pass because if you're not there for his explanations you'll fail. Stay and it will be worth it. I loved the class and he's really nice to everyone, truly loves music :)

This is the sweetest, most considerate professor you'll ever have. Completely approachable and so passionate about his teaching. The class is easy and you attendance is not mandatory. You can just read from the book and you'll be fine. I passed with an A and I would read the day before the test. Overall, I totally recommend him. He's awesome.

Dr. John Augenblick, What can I say he knows what he’s talking about, in fact the only thing that I hated was the fact that I bought a $160 book and never used it. Look save the money for something better and look on a friend or just don’t bother his notes are sufficient to pass the class.

He really is an awesome professor. The class is way boring, but he knows what he's talking about 99% of the time. He's constantly reminding you about things & the syllabus will be your best friend.
