Comment:

John Scolaro is a good teacher. He has a funny sense of humor and a good heart. I think he is a tough grader, but a fair grader, if you do not appear in the class, consequently you will not pass or get a good grade. I really liked his classes and his way of teaching. I would recommend it, and I would certainly take it again.

If you wanna failed take him. Only three grades. Final is an essay 800 words in class. I repeat you have to write it in class yall. He cant teach, I dont learn anything. He just keep making some bizarre voices and thats all. Worst prof I ever had.

Got a B! worked over hard for it, no point in the book. No extra credit, learn your stuff! No precise study guide, not clear what to learn just everything- when asking questions after class he repeats what he said from blackboard what to do! made amazing project but he gave everyone an A effortlessly so don't waste time on the project part!

Dont be fooled by his laid back nature. He grades hard on major tests and weekly quizzes are ok, just take notes exactly as it is on board and add your own spark. Tests are hard af and try study your butt off. They are mostly essays.

There's no rubric or point system used to calculate grades in his class, which is a major problem considering that all the assignments and exams are in essay form. He gives you a letter grade based on his personal opinion without breaking down why. He simply gives A, B, C, D or F grades without telling you your grade % or points earned on anything

just warning anyone who wants to take his class. My advice to you is don't take that class. He doesn't teach, all he does is make stupid sound. He is so weird and disgusted. My friend told me not to take his class but I didn't listen. After I get my midterm exam,I saw that I had a D+ I withdraw from his class his class.Please don't take that class.

easiest class ever!! no homework, only 2 essays and one research paper. you DO NOT need to be a perfect writer, just a lazy writer. yes! i said lazy!! here's the hint: whatever he writes on the board, copy it down on your notebook, then write the same exact thing in both essays. Get an A. You don't need critical thinking, just good memory =)

Allow me to enlighten potential Scolaro students. The first day of class you will walk in and immediately love him. He's very approachable. Throughout the year you will have no homework. There are only three assignments, two essay exams and one research essay. Then it happens, he will fail every essay in the class without remorse. Its not a joke.

HORRIBLE. You'll think it's an easy class until you take the midterm. He'll pretty much fail EVERYONE. And the highest grade he'll ever give is a 75%. Unless you're an extremely good writer do not take his class. Only puts in 3 grades so if you fail any of the writing assignments you will get no grade higher than a D.

He is honestly the worst teacher i have ever had. The reason why is because he decieves you into think that he is laid back. I assure you that he will make you laugh, but after like 4 weeks of being in his class he will assign you an essay which most likely you'll fail because he cares more about grammar and puntuations than the actual work.WORST
