Comment:
Dr. Vincent is funny, charming, and an all around nice man who actually cares about his students. There are 4 tests with the final and one's dropped, and also two 1500 word papers about mental disorders. The class's material is very interesting and if you have a desire to learn it, you should have no problem in getting an A.

His tests are definitely not easy and you definitely need to read the book. He has experience in the field that he shares in class, which is interesting. He drops the lowest grade and provides extra credit through SONA. You will have to study, but it's definitely possible to do well in this class. He's also very kind, laid back, and helpful.

Comment:
Dr. Vincent is a very easygoing and nice professor. He is extremely knowledgable and clearly knows his stuff. Nonetheless, his tests are difficult. I would not recommend this class to anyone who doesn't have at least some sort of interest in mental disorders (because that is mostly what the class is about.) Also, the TA grades the papers harshly.

If you do well in a lecture based class, take Dr. Vincent. He gives 3 tests and a cumulative final, your lowest test grade dropped. 2 relatively easy papers. The tests are not easy, but if you study you will do well. His TA graded the papers pretty harshly, I made B's on what I thought were A papers. He's intelligent and his class is interesting.

nice professor but he can be boring at times. his tests also can be tricky so you really need to study the book and his lectures. but other than that my experience in this class wasnt horrible and he is also nice and will stay after class to answer any questions

Useless professor! I studied my but off and still received low grades on all the exams. I asked him to help me improve my grade several times by maybe passing out reviews or something but would refuse to help at all. I realized later that many students were also struggling. He doesn't give other assignments so if you do bad on exams, you're screwed

He seems very knowledgeable in his field and beyond willing to help with reasonable requests, he says you have to read the book but I didn't and got a B I just paid really close attention to lectures and memorized the vocab from the book. It is NOT a hard class you don't even have o read you even get to drop a test.

TA grades both papers really hard, exams are not based of lectures you must read book and practice the questions on each chapter. Exams seem tricky, class is boring, if your not committed to teach yourself I do not recommend this class.

Gives great examples and great notes. The papers were graded too harshly but that was the TAs fault. Make sure you turn them in ahead of time and you should be fine. The tests were pretty tricky so make sure to study thoroughly. Paying attention in class and taking good notes was most important. It's not real easy but very interesting and good prof

Print out the powerpoint notes and take notes on it in class and from reading the chapters for each test.(If you don't go to class, read the book);3 tests, 1 final (cumulative) that is optional if you did well on your other 3 tests; 2 5-page papers; Overall, interesting material/class and nice prof.
