Comment:

I was very excited and anxious to learn Spanish. Unfortunately with Professor Carmona I didn't learn what I had hoped. He was 15-20 minutes late for EVERY class. He spent most of the class talking about his person life and about 20 minutes actually teaching. I would not recommend Jose Carmona for someone who is actually interested in learning.

I was excited about the possibilty of learning Spanish but this teacher is ridicilous. He has so much going on in his personal life he is not focused and is always late. Then he talks for twenty minutes about his stupid dogs and how important he is. He got a job at Embry Riddle in the English Dept and I think that is funny cause he isn't very go

GREAT GUY, LIKES TO TALK ALOT. ALLOWS YOU TO DO ETHNIC THINGS OUTSIDE OF CLASS FOR CREDIT. CAN PASS THE CLASS BY ATTENDENCE AND HOMEWORK.

Jose is a great teacher. I've noticed many that many teachers who are native speakers usually don't teach the language as well as those who learned spanish as their second language. But he knows his stuff. I thought that the text book well orginized.

I have to agree with that other person that said his textbook stinks- because it does. Buy a good textbook that actually has index, glossery, etc. Aside from that though, Mr. Carmona is a good, fair teacher.

Very nice guy, average professor. If you take him for a spanish class buy a REAL spanish book to study- the one he wrote and requires you to use is garbage- has no index or glossory.
