I would say he is a very good professor. Clearly states what to expect. One lecture day and one lab. Lab assignments are clear and easy. Lectures are long, pretty concise and clear. Make flashcards and you'll have a high chance of passing. Not good in science and passed tests, 4 exams, one final. 12 group quizzes, takes best 6. TAKE HIM PLEASE!

I took this class online and Prof. Bivins was really helpful. He made the posts something easy to talk about and all of the assignments were simple. But you learn about Chemistry because you have to apply it to life to complete the tasks.

Took for both Chem I&II very helpful with his students if you have any question you can always go to his office for help. His quizzes make you think outside of the box, but his test are easier.

Took him awhile back, great teacher, make sure you do the reviews for the final exam. I was such a slacker in his class, joked/laughed/slept/snored and still made a B. I spilled coffee in the lab like an idiot and he just was cool, then he wrote me a recommendation letter @_@ kakaka

This man is very structured, keeps your grades on line, quizzes are group quizzes, gives you one week heads up b4 test, very soft natured, extremely quick in returning your E-mails, great sense of humor, very laid back personality, just a great man and teacher overall! Take him...I found Zurosky to be too flighty and inconsistent with his grading.

His tests are fair for the most part, but he always throws a question or two on the test that has nothing to do with the chapters the test covers, which always bring my grade down to a B. You are going to have to really know your chem inside and out to get an A. Overall, the tests he gives are more like university level tests.

Definitely the best science teacher I have ever had. You don't get ex.cr. in life so dont expect it in his class as he says. Anything you dont understand, he will help explain until you do...TRUST ME!! I am a Chem major and he is def one of the reasons I am sticking it out even when things look impossible! Also, great sense of humor! ATTABOY!!!!

I wasnt looking forward to this class, but he is very helpful and I think explains things well its not an easy "A" but as long as you do your practice problems you should be fine forthe tests. If you ever have a question or feel your falling behind all you have to do is ask for help and he explains thing to you always there to help his students.

First of all...I HATE CHEMISTRY...but I need it for nursing. This guy's great! Super helpful and organized. His class isn't easy. You definitely need to study and keep up on things, but he's very fair and you know exactly what is expected of you. Do take him!

I was scared of chemistry until I saw how much fun and interesting he made it. When he said to the class "I'll make chemists of you!" the first week I laughed at the idea. He is very funny, kind of has a caring fatherly presence, and is a great teacher. I wish I still had him as a teacher so I could ask him questions about chemistry in every day life.

Wonderful professor. Very knowledgeable in chem. He likes to be funny. Makes chem less difficult than some other profs. I took him for both Chem 1 & 2. Most test probs come from notes. Didnt use the book or examples from book too much.
