Professor Durso is extremely kind to her students, but you will not learn anything from her. She spends a lot of time lecturing about topics that matter, and she's worldly of life in general. Although, you can use your phone and watch Netflix for the entire lecture and she will not notice whatsoever which is wonderful. It's an easy A or B though.

Only need textbook for midterm, you're better off taking pics of pages you need from someone else's book than buying. She's all over the place. Lots of handouts you don't need. Concepts and structure are irrelevant in essays, but make sure your grammar is on point & you get an A. Just stay for roll and walk out. Easy pass but a waste of time.

Very unstructured but sweet. Professor Durso is incredibly articulate and worldly. Lecture feels extremely lengthy so make sure you charge your phones beforehand.

Professor Durso is extremely nice to her students. However, I did not learn anything from the class. She only talks about history a lot. If anyone who wants to prove their writing skills as a writer or structuring an essay please do not take her. Take her if anyone wants an easy A or B.

This is a professor that should have retired and stayed home long ago. She can't hear the students speak... she can't remember when assignments are due... she can't get graded work back on time. But hey, the class is SUPER EASY... Kind of a joke really, English being so easy at in East LA..... Half my class couldn't even speak a sentance of English correctly. I bet Durso gave them an A.

Professor Durso is an extremely sweet and easy teacher. However, her class very boring, because she only lectures the entire class time. Take her if you want to learn about history .

Professor Durso is one the nicest instructors. I highly recommend for you to take her class. Most of the students were lazy, and they deserved to get a C. I go an A because I turned in every essay and participated. Her class is super easy. No excuse for you not to get an A. Thank you Counselor for recommending me to take her!!!

Fun professor and interesting reading. Her class is extremely easy to pass, you just have to turn in your essays. She is pretty helpful in some things but in essays e grade you on your spelling and grammar mostly. I thought my midterm was just badly written, but i got an A anyway because of my spelling and grammar.

Took short winter semester. She is very easy but class is very boring. Grammar tests, essays, midterm, final makes up your grade. Book isn't required, but useful if you're going to use quotes in essay. No need to purchase the newest edition of the book. If you want an A, take this class. Don't learn.International students cheat a lot in this class.

Really slow on grading papers. Didnt get 3 papers back, i have to go during winter session to get the papers. quite a bit of essays due in the first month (total of 5) then a test on hamlet, test on plays, then the final. boring but she's nice.
