Prof. Humphreys is, by FAR, the best french professor at Trinity. She is hilarious, kind, caring, and will help you with anything you don't understand. Her french film class is also great, and is taught in english, so give it a try even if you're not the best with french!

I love Professor Humphreys! There is no way that you won't learn good stuff in her class. She is very understanding. If you have any problems and/or concerns, let her know and she will accommodate your needs. She is my favorite professor because SHE UNDERSTANDS!

Professor Humphreys is by far one of the best professors I've had this far at Trinity. She is knowledgeable and compassionate beyond measure. I plan on taking as many classes as possible with her before I graduate. GREAT GREAT GREAT woman!

Comment:

Professor Humphreys is one of the best at the college. She is not an easy grader but if you put in clear effort she will give you a good grade. She genuinely wants each student to do well and you are allowed to rewrite papers and even do test corrections sometimes. We always had homework though it was never too heavy. Take her class!

I love Prof. Humphreys! She's very motivating and charismatic during her lectures. She gives a good amount of homework, so make sure you're right on track. Her grading is absolutely fair. Her class doesn't get mundane especially when you're participating enough. She's easily accessible outside class. Definitely, recommend taking her. She's awesome!

Humphries was a great professor! lectures sometimes got boring if the class wasn't participating but for the most part it was interesting. She was willing to go with the flow and let the discussion go with our interests. Do the reading otherwise you'll be lost in class, and put in effort and you'll do fine!

French film seminar. Wonderful class with a well selected variety of films. I have since become fascinated with French movies! She is caring and spends just the right amount of time on each film. Class is based off discussions and essays- very easy to get a good grade if you participate and read the articles. Half the homework is watching movies!!!

Prof. Humphreys is one of my favorite professors. So nice and helpful and really understanding. She loves everything about French, not just the language-hence her classes are really interesting. Very knowledgeable on a wide range of topics and always picks interesting readings. Tough, but it's worth it to work hard for her!

Karen Humphreys wants you to do well, but she won't give A's away for free. You have to earn it. However, she is very understanding - if you're having a rough week, let her know, and an extension may result. She's also very open to feedback. She has lots of stories that are pretty funny if you can understand the French.
