Comment:

Mrs. Robinson is wonderful! Her tests are on the notes, so class time is important. I rewrote my notes so that I studied them well. Reading is mandatory as well. Take good annotations. Her writing grading scale is very fair. Try your best and you will succeed. If you have questions, never hesitate to ask her. Very amazing teacher! Take her!! :)

I absolutely love and adore this teacher! The work wasn't excessive, but it wasn't minimal either. Mrs. Robinson gives ample time to construct and complete essays (or speeches), and her guidelines were easy to understand. Fair teacher that connects with her students!

Love her, it's a three-hour class, but it feel like it went so fast. All the info she taught us makes me want to use it in my classroom. Is a fun relaxing class. For the journal and reaction papers, as long as you do them, you get full credits. one field trip, one final project, there's no exams. I would definitely take her again. Take her class!

Comment:

Robinson is a great teacher, as long as you show up to class. I had her in Comp 1 and for Fundamentals of Speech. If something happens during the semester that will cause you to miss a deadline, just talk to her!! But most important is attendance! Youll have group discussions for participation points, and notes on the board. I recommend Robison.

Karen is such an amazing instructor at OCC! I would take her classes all over again, if I could! I enjoy her knowledge and eagerness to help other succeed. I so wish she had an email that she checked often because I love to learn from her and she gives great advice. English class was a breeze with her. Most simple rule is to just show up to class

Really enjoyed this class. You have the opportunity to give many speeches which I found very fun since you have HUGE leeway on what topic you wish to speak about. Pick something you're passionate about and your speech will be great. The entire class got to know each other and became friends by the end of the semester that we were sad to leave!

2nd time taking this professor, she is awesome. There are 5 speeches, a final paper, and 2 quizzes based on the reading. The speech criteria is very straight forward and she gives good feedback on what to work on. Some in class activities, but they are very helpful. If you're apprehensive about speech classes, take Karen she will make you enjoy it!

Expect 5 papers due every 2 weeks ranging from 1 to 3 pages, a midterm, final (both open ended) and easy group projects every class for participation. Rubrics with specific directions are given for papers. No handouts are given for test prep so take notes in class! Before tests she'll tell you what to study. If you have notes you'll be good.

I'm halfway through the term. So far its been great. Lenient grader, lenient due dates, but she's professional and teaches well. I'd taker her for the rest of my English courses if i could. You need the book to read the stories discussed in class btw. You will talk and interact with the class,we do group projects for participation points daily

Mrs. Robinson was by far the best professor I have ever taken. English has never been my strong suit and she made it extremely easy. We use the books often, but the class work is manageable and easy. I could never get an A in English in high school but i found myself getting an A on both her midterm and final. Extremely easy and I would recommend.

One of the most easy to get along with and effective instructors @ OCC. Very kind, good constructive criticism from speeches. Classwork / Homework is a breeze. Easy A if you follow her simple rubrics for each speech. I definitely improved my speech delivering styles. She will even remember your name and face after the first class.

I probably spent about 2 hours a week on this class outside of the lecture. You will get an A on your paper if you follow her checklist. Very structured but not very creative writing course. The exams are very easy if you take good notes and then study them for about two hours. Nice lady.

Loved her...I also think she has photographic memory...she remembers everyone name after the 1st day of class lol...she is just great! She tells a story about her friend that has photographic memory...but I think it is her...she is the best teacher...very kind!

Mrs. Robinson is undoubtedly the best teacher I've had. Show up every day and take notes on everything. She's straight forward and she doesn't like giving low grades, so as long as you always write SOMETHING, she'll give you credit for it. If you don't pass her class with an A, it's entirely your fault.

Speech class with Mrs. Robinson was terrific! The first day of class she helps ease your nerves by talking about what makes people nervous. That first day made me more confident throughout the semester of speeches. You'll be give 5 speeches, 2 quizzes, & a library assignment, which will also be a quiz but it won't effect you. It's just extra participation points. Attend all her classes! I loved the feedback I got from the class because it was all positive! I got an A in the end! I was happy!
