I took this class 3 years ago as a first semester freshman and I still consider it one of the best classes I took. Very interesting, easy to understand lectures. The tests required studying the book, handouts, and lecture material thoroughly, but test questions were straight forward and never misinterpreted. Anyone who puts in the time can get an A

Dr. Benison is a very interesting professor to listen to. She applies her material to the world, and teaches her material in a fashion that is easy for all to understand. Her quizlets are so helpful!

Kathy's class is alright, I got A's in all my other ones, but got a B in this one. Read textbook, project isn't too bad, She gives things called "quizlets" which help, Final Exam is cumulative, Make sure you come to class, copy EVERYTHING she writes on the board, some comes back to be Extra Credit on Tests.

Very nice! Study your notes and guess what she might ask. I hate that the final is cummulative. Your exams are the only grade you get. Go to class and get great notes, you won't need the book. She loves geology and rocks and knows a lot about it.

She is very nice. But you never know what will be on the exams. She doesn't give study guides and her tests are tough and mostly essay. I went to class everyday but really stuggled with her tests. The tests are your only grade besides one easy project. She is nice and fun but tough. Study hard for her and guess what she will ask you.

I love Kathy! She is so cute! This class is basically high school basic science...aka really easy. She wants you to read the book but I never do and still get a high B on the exams. Just study your notes and you'll be fine =)

She reminds me of Ms Frizzle on the Magic School Bus! Sweet lady, is really excited about what she is teaching! Gives you notes that you have to copy down so if youre bad at taking notes she makes it easy for you. Make sure you study her pre-tests bc a lot of questions are taken from that.

be very careful with her essay questions. stingy with the extra credit points. make sure you study the concepts enough to write extensivey about them in essay form. reading the book didnt help much if you dont oweranalize. nice teacher but tough grader. do ok in lab and you should pass the course.

this class was easier than a 6th grade science class, but Kathy grades unfairly if she does not favor you! IF you want an adult education at an adult institution, take someone else who will treat you like a smart adult. Or just be lazy & take her!

Great Professor, if you attend the class and not read the book, you should get a grade somewhere in the B range. If you read the book along with the notes, grade should be higher. Really nice and easy to talk to and she is always willing to help. Great Professor

I wasn't too thrilled w/ having to take this class. Kathy definitely changed that. She is very enthusiastic on her subject. Everything was explained so that everyone understood. She is a very level-headed teacher and has no problem helping you if you need it. She is AWESOME!! I recomend her.

I had no interest in this class and Kathy completly changed that. She's AWESOME. I never even fell asleep. She makes it so much fun and interesting. I'm SO greatful that I was able to have her a a prof. If your going to take a class she teaches do not pass up the opportunity to have her. She's GREAT

She is the best professor I've ever had. She is really nice. All you have to do is go to the classes, you don't have to read the book, just listen to her lectures. She helps you with anything you need and is very approachable. Highly recommend you take her class!

She's a wonderful teacher and knows her stuff. She makes the lectures fun, and is very helpful with questions. If you just show up to the lectures, you can easily get a B on the exams. Lots of helpful demonstrations. I learned a lot.
