Comment:

Professor Brindell is a tough, but excellent and professional instructor. Be thourough and detailed in your work, and you will succeed. If you have questions regarding the work, communicate it, and she will respond in a timely manner. The quiz questions are pretty extensive, so study and prep. Great things come to those who strive for excellence.

Do not take Professor Brindell! Worst professor Ive ever had. She is the toughest grader. You could spend hours working on the chapter assignments and never get a perfect grade. Quizzes are super easy but homework is a joke. Avoid her at all costs!

Took her for online class Hist-17. The tests are super easy, however her homework is difficult because she is pretty unrealistic when it comes to grading homework, and there is a lot of it. I would NOT recommend her unless you're incredibly meticulous with your homework assignments and don't mind extra reading on top of the textbook chapters. No EC

Comment:

You get an assignment every week containing 4 questions each with like 3 small parts or a paragraph response. She expects alot of detail in each answer, making it hard to get an A on an assignment. The tests however, are incredibly easy, as all the answers can be found on quizlet. I got all A's on the tests and B/C's on the assignments.

Took this course online and I passed with an A. This was a Simple class. The forums just have to be answered in a form of a question with one reference to the reading. the test were easy, basically open book with an hour to complete 50 questions. The professor will give feed back and make sure to check your email.

Comment:

She expects ALOT from you. I understand that with taking an online course comes extra time and effort but her assignments are pretty ridiculous at times. They will take you at least an hour to do and she's a harsh grader. Her feedback can be useful sometimes but comes off rather rude when you don't have what she's looking for. would not recommend.

I would never recommend taking this class! She grades really hard. Its almost impossible to get full credit on an assignment. Homework assignments are tough and are really long. Never had a teacher that grades this hard and unrealistically if its not perfect she marks you down. DO NOT TAKE!

I chose Brindells class just for the college credit. You may read the material and understand it just fine, however she seems to grade based ones opinion... As a question on an assignment might be "what is your opinion?" It is essential to be elaborate to every question on H.W. Although she can be quite vague on assignments...

I was so happy to take my History 17 class online this summer. The teacher was horrible and I dropped the class after one week. I needed clarification on an assignment and she wrote back telling that "she didn't know what to say" and that "I better reread my syllabus." She was rude and a non helpful teacher. I would not recommend this teacher.

Weekly writing assignments are assigned based on the chapter of discussion. The writing assignments require some critical thinking and analysis of the chapter and other readings. The class is not impossible, and her expectations are clear. She gives very detailed feedback. Your grade depends on your effort in the class.

This was the hardest class i've ever taken. she gives alot of homwork and she grades it harshley. i have only got a full score on homework once and the rest have been deducted a coulple of points.

This class is really stressful. Although I received a B I didn't know what she wanted. Half of the answers on the homework I couldn't even find them in the book. It was hard. Is mostly based on homework. If you do good on test but no hw you fail. She should learn how to give better help and notes.

took her online class and found it to be much more strenuous then I bargained for. 1 to 2 long assignments due weekly that required a lot of thought and in-depth reading. Tough class, but that's to be expected from college. Tests were M.C. and some questions were impossible to locate online or via book. Not a easy "A" class, but still attainable

Took her online and it was terrible. Her assignments are time consuming and she grades very harshly. The tests are also extremely hard even with the book and internet it was almost impossible to find a lot of the information. Did all of the reading and assignments and am barely going to squeak by with a C. I do not suggest her for an online class.

she was the best teacher for history. show up to class. you pay for it anyways. she was hilarious. showed videos in class and all you had to do was pay attention. her tests are open book, and the tests were literally right there in the book. even if you didnt like her, you would have to be a moron and a slacker to not pass her class. easiest A

I liked this professor, I had her for online US history. Thing is, you must put in the work. She does grade harshly, so make sure you go above and beyond and make sure you are answering her questions exactly, I always gave more than she was asking for. She gives detailed feedback, so you can see more of what she's looking for.

Im not sure how anyone can manage to fail this class?! Im going to finish her online class with an "A" but in order to do that, yes you must actually read the book and complete all assignments required. Just make sure to read all assignments carefully as well as your textbook and you'll be fine. Also she allows you to retake 3 of the 4 exams.

This Teacher is the worst I'd ever had. She teaches nothing in this class. The class is mainly composed of movies, reading and summaries. There is really no right or wrong answer because again she teaches nothing. She grades very hardshly. She's not clear on her directions and she's very disorganized. If you can, AVOID her classes.
