Comment:
Corvo is one of the smartest Professors I've ever had. He is extremely knowledgable in so many different ways. If you don't like dry humor, get over it or don't take him. He is hilarious, and straightforward. Go to class, he lets you out early and the lectures are worth it. Definitely don't need the text book. The paper was hard, but ask questions.

Comment:
He is very knowledgeable about research and challenges you to think differently than you normally would. He is pretentious, so if that is something you don't want in a teacher, then don't take his course. Expects graduate level skills and that reflects on his grading on assignments. He doesn't hold your hand through assignments, but offers help.

Comment:
Dr. Corvo is a bit pretentious. He is an intelligent man, which is obvious by his work, but his ego got in the way of making any connection with me as a student. His first words in class were "This is not a class for feelings. I don't care about your feelings." Yes, this is a research class, but we are social workers man!

Comment:
I was forced to take this class with this professor after my personal choice had been cancelled and all alternatives were omitted. Corvo introduced the class with an extremely negative attitude; repetitively underestimating any ambitious beliefs we had towards Social Work . He is arrogant, self absorbed, lacks manners and inspiration for change.

Dr. Corvo is probably the best professor in the SU school of Social Work. If you are lazy then forget about it, you will fail. He grades fairly and offers help during and after every single class session. Many people are intimidated by him at first, but he is actually really funny and relatable. Don't miss an opportunity to learn from him!

Too verbose, seems as if he likes to hear himself talk. Very open to answering questions during class time but hard to access outside of class. Overall, an ok prof. Easily offended students will likely hate him, but his sarcasm keepslass quite upbeat.

intelligent, takes no bs, holds students to a high standard. i can see how lazy, close-minded students wouldn't like him. he doesn't come off as being too warm but is approachable and offers multiple opportunities for questions and meetings regarding papers. Good professor for a graduate level course. He's funny and his lectures rarely drag.

Very tough teacher. Vocabulary in the stratosphere. To pass, you must be able to write post-graduate/doctoral level papers. PS: Your life means whatever you make it.

Corvo is freaking awesome, he seriously has the best quotes out of any professor I have ever had. The reason people don't like him is because he tells it like it is and if your question is irrelevant to the discussion he will state that.
