Comment:

This content isn't that different from a soc psyc class. Despite my disinterest, Dr. M made it worthwhile. She's very energetic and upbeat throughout her lectures. She grades assignments easily as long as you put in effort, but note that her study guides for the tests are vague and not too indicative of the actual exam. Still, I'd take her again!

One of my favorite professors. As long as you go to class, do the assignments and study the day before exams, you'll be fine. Not a very difficult class but I still feel like I learned a lot from her.

Took an upper division soc course. Honestly a great professor and person. Class was very challenging but makes it easy to digest the information. Very organized and caring. Gotta show up pretty much everytime to do well though. Think we had a textbook but i never bought it and still got an A

Comment:

Great upper-division class in sociology. Kristen is great, you'll learn a lot in this class. Most of the time she will let you out early. Exams aren't impossible, but you need to study for sure. Lectures aren't mandatory, but you to do well you should go. One paper at the end of the semester and a few short assignments sometimes. Would take again!

She is a GREAT professor. She has helped me countless times during office hours. She also gave me a grad school rec. letter:) Super hot to boot!She speaks to you like a person in class making it seem more like a conversation than a lecture.

She made Sociology so interesting that I decided to minor in it. Best professor I've had so far. Lectures are extremely clear and tests are very, very easy. You'd have to TRY in order to get lower than a C in her class. Overall very nice person, very fair grader, and even though attendance is mandatory, you probably won't mind going to her class.

She is very fun and caffeine fuled. I love her attitude towards the topics and the students, she acts as though it hasn't been a long time since she was a student though she's been teaching for 7+ years. Great prof. and amusing.

Very nice and helpful. Her test are multiple choice with a take home essay. She is a pretty fair grader, and gives 6 participation chances that are like free points! The book is a waste because she doesn't use it at all, her powerpoints cover everything you need to know. Attendence is important because you cover a lot in one class! I recommend her!

I loved this class, I had her for two class in one semster one after the other and she was great. She is very funny and she respects the students very much. She is always there to help, she helped me a LOT over the semster. Her tests are really hard but you get used to her style. She brought the most interesting guest speaker in. Loved the class!

Don't believe her attendace policy! This is a nasty trick! Miss any of her highly idiosyncratic notes & chances are they'll show up on her tests. The most incompreshensible, & I'm a 3.7 gpa, test questions! Book's almost a total waste of $. Know or get all her situational examples of material!
