Comment:

Extremely easy class. Notes are posted online and added to in class on an overhead. Exams are curved and extra credit is offered the day after exams. Mack does a great job of bringing in relevant info and current events, although not usually on the test. Definitely take 201 if you want to take 202.

Comment:

Bad teacher for the subject.. It was just overhead notes everyday...no review sessions held...not a helpful teacher all around. Wouldn't work with you outside of class much. Not worth buying the book if you go to class. One plus: extra credit offered the day after every exam (which were difficult) and handed in at the end of the class period.

Lectures get very rough. Mack's got a ton of years under his belt n can't help but get a lil in depth with off-subject topics. Goes over notes every day which make owning the book practically useless. Curves every exam and gives extra credit. I took Macro n Micro together n I would suggest Micro w/o Mack.

He is one of the worst teachers i have had. he goes off on tangents that have nothing to do with what will be on the exam. Avoid him if possible!

This class was the worst! He expects you to know everything about Economics coming in, wherever you are from academically. For me to understand what we went over, I had to read the book myself and take my own notes. I did go to his office a few times before our last exam and got a great score. Average test scores were C's.

this guy needs to retire! If not he needs to check his email and stop talking about useless things we don't need to know for the test. jeez i mean dont get mad at freshmen and sophmores who dont know stuff that they supposedly should be paying attention to or watching 60 minutes about the laws.

Prof Mack is one of the worst instructors I've ever had. I missed a test for a funeral and emailed him 5 different times. Finally, I stayed after class to talk to him and he was so rude saying its "not his job to check emails from me." When I took the make up test it was frustratingly difficult. In my opinion, Mack should have retired years ago.

This prof is so bad. He stands in the way of the screen as he writes notes, so you cannot copy or understand his meaning. He tells useless stories and his tests are very difficult, most from book and says things wont be on test but then they are.

Mack is not a bad teacher. He is tough, I'll give you that. On the other hand, he does often offer extra credit for the tests the next class period. A lot.. as in up to 20 points! He knows his stuff and puts his funny old man humor into things to make it interesting. :) If you pay attention in class and skim the book, you should be alright.

I love this man! I am surprised everyone else doesn't like him! He is funny, smart and an overall great guy. The tests are easy if you read the book. I strongly recommend this teacher :) !

Worst teacher I've ever had. I got better grades on the exams when I didn't go to class. He writes out trick questions. So even if you know the material, that doesn't mean you'll do good on the test by any means. if possible, take the class from someone else.

Mr. Mack is by far the worst teacher I have ever encountered. The class average for test scores and quiz scores kept going down as the semester went on. Do NOT take a class from this man, he needs to just stop teaching all together because he can't relate to students. He's about 100 years old and can't for the life of him communicate anything

Just not a good teacher, has the most terribley written tests and writes out some trick questions the fill in the blank questions require memorization of meticulous lists of notes I maintained an A after the first two tests but dropped out due to the nonsense nature of the class I'm going to take it from Leitch next semester and actually learn

He is a horrible professor. The only thing he covers in class are the notes which are on blackboard, with little or no additional information, and then goes off on tangents. Not to mention you will get to hear him clear his throat into the microphone about every 5 seconds. I guess if you're into flem then you should take his class!

Larry is not the best teacher. You really have to teach yourself the material. He is still living in the 1800s, he uses blackboard, but not for announcments or communication, only for note outlines which is how I got through the class. I do not recommend him, unless you can teach yourself economics.
