Dr Owens is definitely a smart guy and has a lot of experience in the engineering field, however I wouldn't say he is a great professor. He is on the older side and it shows how traditional he likes to do things. ECE 85 was manageable but if you want an A, you can't afford to screw up since your grade consists of two tests, attendance, and a final.

This was a hard class for me. He grades on a curve based on "gaps" in the grades. I had a 50% average for the class but still ended up with a B. A lot of people averaged 50% on the tests while only 1-4 ppl got A's and B's. He used problems out of the textbook as problems on the tests. I took him for summer school. He thinks he's richer than you lol
