Very good teacher. She is so sweet and very knowledgable about creative writing. Assignments were very simple, easy and few. Only negative thing about class is you really can't skip once you start getting into workshopping. Easy A.

She's a good teacher. Nothing is too difficult about her class just don't be afraid to talk/ give your opinion about the stories we read because she takes participation seriously. I definitely enjoyed the class and it made me a better writer.

Lavonne Adams is just the main instructor but everyone will be broken up into smaller sections which will have your main grad student who will do all the grading. The class is extremly easy. No need to get the textbook. There is only a midterm and final which are papers about the speakers. Take notes during lecture

Beautiful, intelligent, and encouraging; definitely my favorite professor so far. Take Lavonne's poetry class if you really want to dive into the craft and find your voice. Visit her during office hours for extra help! Her advice is spot on. P.S. Don't be late to class.

She's a great teacher. There are regular daily assignments and workshop is not that hard as long as you turn in a copy of your letter to her. 2 short stories you write and a literary analysis. I did my work on the last minute sometimes and did well. I reccomend her if you can handle the workload.

Whoa!! Dr. Adams was a great professor. She was open to students writing and was very helpful in her revisions. She made workshops a fun place to be and was an awesome woman to speak to outside of class. I loved her class and thought that she was full of constructive criticsm for serious poets.
