Don't take this class with her. she isn't a good teacher. she is a nice women but doesn't explain things clearly. If you are good at teaching yourself you'll be okay, but if you need to learn from the professor she is not a good professor for you. JUST DON'T TAKE HER..

DONT TAKE HER. Rate my Professor please keep all of my postings up. Please. Students need to know. She isn't a nice person, she isn't a good teacher. She probably was in 1980 but today she cant teach. She needs to retire and move to florida. You will fail without help from other students. Don't take her even if you have no choice. Just wait.

Pretty difficult class. I recommend paying close attention when she explains the material and take good notes during lab, that is when she teaches you how to do the hw. Didn't really use the book. Study the hw packet and lecture notes for her exam. Final is EC. She is a nice person but you have to put in the effort to understand the way she teaches

Soc424& Lab: She's is a very sweet professor but when it comes to helping in the class, she is no help at ALL. She does not answer any questions as far as the HW/Lab assign that is worth almost half your grade. Basically, anything that you can earn points in, she will not help you. She will just use reverse psychology & flip ur Q on you. Goodluck.

Everyone always complaints about her. She's not that bad. Her lectures are confusing if you don't study. I asked a lot of questions and she made sure I understood the material. She has office hours which students don't take advantage of. Anyone can pass this class as long as you study and try. I did not read or study much and I still pass.

She goes on tangents, is disorganized, does not workout problems on the board, makes a ton of mistakes in wording of assignments, and will not help you if it's for a graded assignment (they all are). Her lecture is just her reading you the powerpoint word for word. I got a B, I taught myself mostly. If you HAVE to take her, study definitions!

Prof. Winters was the hardest professor I've ever had. Do not take, she is a tough grader. Avoid her. I got an A- but spent hours and hours figuring out what she was talking about. If you are planning to take stats I suggests you to take it with someone else.

You can tell Winters loves her field, but when it came to communicating the material all she made available was slides, which was not enough for me. I had taken stats before and thought I had a grasp on the basic concepts. With Winters, I felt like I was studying stats in a foreign language. Her examples are not relatable

Make sure you have a GOOD group! You must work in a group if not, you get points deducted. If you are okay with her just reading off the slides take her however its hard to figure out how she get to her answers.

She really cares about what she is doing. Its' just a hard class, but she is there during office hours and tries to answer questions during class. Do not miss class and study. She allows everything to be in group work. Just respect her and she will respect you. Class is a bit boring, but she has a sense of humor.

I took her last Fall. Home work, lab and attendance carries 40% of your grade. I had a 60 in the class and by doing all the HW and Lab, I ended up with a B-. However, She is confusing and hard to understand. All she does is read the slides. If you take her, make sure to have a good group and do all the HW.

She's a sweetheart. I'm not good with statistics but i was able to pass the class. We did five hwlab but you turn them in groups. The test were fair. kind of confusing but she's there when you need help. As long as you show up to class your going to pass. DON'T MISS CLASS! or else it will get even more confusing. Overall not the easiest but fair.

In all my years as a student, I have never had a professor that was more unclear and more disorganized than Professor Winters. She does nothing to actually teach the methods required to pass her tests and her homeworklabs are unnecessarily complicated. Avoid this professor if whenever you can and take another instructor.

DO NOT TAKE HER!! In the beginning of the semester she makes you buy her lecture notes for $40. (Honestly, this is all you need). We used the book but slightly (you may use the library copy). Any who, she literally reads of the slides. Talks to students as if we knew the material. She is unclear, confusing, and a hard grader.
