Instructor for Access Communications & INP Level A. Comes across as a bit aloof, late for classes so other instructors had to cover at times. Will make herself available after class if needed. Will remember your name throughout entire program, which impressed me. If you attend all classes, should be no prob in passing. Has a good sense of humour.

I failed out of the LPN program years ago - witch hunted by Lorin and Jenny Roche - best thing that ever happened to me. They didn't like me. It motivated me to choose a different path so now instead of being an LPN - I spent 4 years working hard and am entering my 2nd year of medicine at UBC. Can't wait to come across Lorin on the wards.

You won't learn anything from this instructor in pharmacology. You might as well stay at home and study by correspondence. The worst learning experience I've ever had in my life. SHOULD NOT BE TEACHING PHARMACOLOGY AT ALL OR EVER.... NOT SAFE.

Any class she was involved in was like self learning for us, HR, Pharm.Most students confused most of the time as to what was expected on assignments, due dates..whatver.The HR class was useless...what filler and caused everyone alot of aggravation.Felt sorry for the ppl who had her in NA, we heard the stories.

This woman is by far the worst teacher at VCC, she had no indepth knowledge in this critical nursing course. She was a joke, she would often leave class to go and get food and was disorganied and ALWAYS LATE....

Yeah... not so good! She is all about therapeutic communication but seldom uses it. She has her favourites & watch out if your not one of them! Masks her slit throat tactics with humour.

If you are thinking about going to VCC DON'T GO!!!!!! The whole faculty is abusive. They pick on you until you literally crack. The Generic program is fine. It's the access program that is just not right.

Comment:

The best teacher in the faculty of practical nursing, but still not great. She practises "nursing communication" to the point you want to throw-up. Hypocritical. Will give you crap about something and do the same thing herself the next day.
