I took sociology of community with Dr. Louis Gesualdi in the summer post session. All we had to do was show up, take two quizzes and write a paper about a book. the class was 6 hours but he always dismissed us early. Really had a great experience with him overall. Would definitely recommend and take him again if I had the option.

Comment:

Dr. Gesualdi's class was very informative. 1 midterm 1 final & 1 paper. Grades very leniently as long as you have an idea of what you are talking about. He gives an opportunity for 12 extra credit points too, & lets you retake the midterm/final. Very boring & talks for the entire class, cancels class A LOT, & gives minimal notes.

Very boring class but he's such a nice guy. He emails you all your notes so you don't even have to take any. He also gives you the tests beforehand. Easy A class.

Professor Guesuldi is great! All lectures are in PowerPoint format. He even gives you sample questions for the midterm and final. If you need a sociology class, take him.

If you want an easy A and waste your money, sure. But please, if you want real education, don't take him. He makes it too easy and doesn't challenge you. Everything he gives is boring information that all know already. You feel like you don't need to do anything to get an A. It is painful to listen to him in class. AND his book IS BORING.

Easy A. Attend class, take notes, TRY to pay attention when necessary. He tends to drift off subject and attempt to be funny. I really enjoyed him, great professor. Some people didn''t like him at 7:30 in the morning. But laugh at his jokes and you will do fine. Midterm, FInal, one paper... if you miss the paper, he gives another paper to help you.

Very easy class but you must attend class. Don't skip. Notes and lectures are very simple and clear. Only a midterm and final, and one paper. There's also an extra credit assignment, and he will let you do a make up for your midterm if your grade was low. He's very nice and helpful. Good teacher.

Excellent professor. Interesting but a very easy class. No homework-one paper and he tells you exactly what he wants. Gives many chances to make up tests or to retake for a higher grade. Very kind, nice person. highly recommend this man.

This guy is the most boring professor at St Johns, no laptops or cell phones. So, be prepared to scrape your eyeballs out for an hour and a half, but hes pretty easy. no homework, one midterm and final. gives out a review of questions a week before.

People are right he is such a good professor. Go to class pay attention first film is boring the rest are good and interesting. Brings up points that relate to anyone and grades a wide scale accepting many answers as right. One of the best professors at St Johns an A once you do the work

BEST PROFESSOR ! I love the way he teaches . Very interesting material and really easy to understand. This was the best class I have taken at St.Johns. One midterm - gives questions before hand and let your retake if you choose . The final is about 5 small essay questions given to you before hand. One paper on a very interesting article .

The easiest class ever!!! Not necessary to come to class. Gives notes & questions on midterm and final. Even lets you take them over if you don't get an A. There is a paper but he let's you do that over also. Gets off topic & has lame jokes every class. Doesn't have a concept of time. If you don't receive an A in his class your just lazy

Prof. Gesualdi is the man! he is the nicest professor who teaches sociology. I wish I majored in sociology, but unfortunately he doesn't teach all the classes. He gives the questions for the exams beforehand. He is the best SOC professor at SJU! Hands down!
