Katz is hard to describe. He walks around for participation, he is straight to the point, but kind of quirky. He gives out 3 exams and drops the lowest grade - those are ALL the points he gives you, so STUDY!!! The exams aren't hard, only worth 25 points so your grade can drop quick. Ace the first two tests and your attendance is no longer required

He was okay. You could tell he was smart and knew the subject very well, but I didn't enjoy the class. There was only 3 grades in the class, all tests, and I didn't enjoy that part at all. I like classes where there's a variety of graded assignments.

Great teacher. Really didn't give you much time to answer his questions in class. About the only thing I didn't like. Tests were fair, nothing too challenging. 1 got 2 18's, and didn't show up the last 4weeks of class. He tells you what you need to do to get an A: Take good notes, show up to class, read the problems in the book, and participate.

I took him for legal environment of business 1 in Fall 2014 and thought the class was really interesting. There are 3 tests, 25 MC, and he drops the lowest one. I ended up getting a B in the class bc i missed a few questions on my final.

Atty. Kats is one of the best and easiest professors I've ever had. He goes over everything MULTIPLE times. And when I say multiple I mean at least 3 or 4 times. Only 3 tests, drops the lowest, those are the only grades. Test can be a little tricky due to set up but if you study they are no problem at all. Just go to class and you don't need book.

Best prof I've had so far. Amazing lectures. If you don't go to class, he teaches straight from the book and it's easy to catch up if you missed. Repeats important points over and over so the facts are clear. TESTS ARE TRICKY and there are only 3 including the final. You get to drop the lowest grade. Work hard for 1st 2 and forget about the final!

Katz is a very good teacher and straightforward. The lowest of your test grades is dropped, so do well on the first two. The book is really only for the end of the chapter questions, but it is still nice to have it to review concepts that were a little more difficult. You also are forced to participate which helps the material "stick".

I loved taking this class, it was so interesting and Attny Katz is honestly the best professor I've ever had. I LEARNED from him, and I will not just walk out of the class and forget everything. He teaches in a way to really make you understand, not memorize. Wish I would have had him for both Law classes!

T really enjoyed his class. You must attend class, and take notes, because the text book is not used very often. If you're a good note taker, you basically don't need the text book. I would definately take one of his courses again. He's a great professor, and really knows how to teach.

By far my favorite professor and classes. I have a short attention span but Katz keeps it interesting. He is crystal clear about everything, but you have to show up or you will miss important stuff. I didnt take notes during the first class but he told me I would have to in the second class and he was RIGHT! I didnt buy either book. I got 2 As

Katz makes everything about the course clear: structure, grading, policies, etc. Go to class, take notes, participate and you will be fine! I am not an accounting major, I took this as an upper division elective and got an A. He is more than happy to help you succeed if you are willing to do the work! One of the best professors hands down.

Atty. Katz is one of the best at YSU. He is clear with how the class will be structured, how grades are assigned, and with the material. No powerpoints, no blackboard. It is all lecture and oral notes. Tests are straightforward. Attend class and there will be no surprises!

Katz is 100% clear about every concept that will be on the test. I got 100s on both of his first test and didnt need to take the 3rd. I did NOT buy the book or take ANY notes and it was that easy. Im in his second class now and it is A LOT harder. I still didnt buy the book but I write down EVERYTHING.Just got a 90 on my last test. A+ professor

Not a bad proffessor, he repeats the concepts in class over and over again. Which can get boring, and his tests are difficult. However, if you pay attention you should be perfectly fine!!

Teaching is not his main profession. I am a junior and his class is the only C I received. Test are extremely hard because they are only 20 questions and only counts 2 of 3. So the whole class is based on 40 points... What a joke. Too busy to teach.

This class covered alot of material. I took him for Legal 1 too. Hes a great teacher! Love how he involves the class. Makes you have to think about the material. The Qs on test are almost exactly like ones in book that he goes over. Requires some extra thinking. Dont rush during tests and write things out more to help if you want the A.

Attorney Katz is a great professor. He goes around the class and asks questions about the material everyday. This does the studying for you. The material is not hard and you must be able to understand legal jargen, but this class is only based on test grades. Each test is 25 points and your highest 2 are counted. Easy class, great professor.
