Professor Russon has been the best professor at St. John's hands down! Easy A as long as you pay attention. He truly cares for his students' success and makes the material easy to learn. I would definitely take this class again if I could! No textbook, make notes and you will be fine.

If you want to learn something, stay alway from his courses. When you ask some questions, he would usually say it is beyond of scope and would take too long to explain it. If you want to get good grade, then just forget about performance on exam, projects. Just need try to have good conversations with him and let him remember your name.

Brilliant! Best Professor I've ever taken a course from. He's fast and he calls on you a lot. If you don't answer in 2 seconds he skips to the next person, and it's on big deal. This makes you LEARN. He's EXTREMELY knowledgeable. If you don't understand, he'll spend as much time as you need outside of class. He'll even help you with other courses!

He teaches difficult matters in a way that you can easily understand, as well as he is very cooperative with the students. If you don't understand anything, he will never mind to go over and over again until you get it. Study materials he use is very contemporary and useful. He is the best.

Best class I've ever taken. He's fast, yet he makes sure everything has repeated enough times that you'll learn everything about statistics without even realizing. And even if you do miss something, you'll be sure to hear it again. Extremely helpful out of class, even with subjects from other courses. To top it off, he's funny! Simply a must take.

Prof. Russon is one of the best professors I have ever had, undergraduate or graduate level. He is fair, clear and presents a challenging topic in a very accessable and understandable way. I plan to take more of his classes.

Dr. Russon is an extremely resourceful professor. He knows the subject inside and out, and teaches with a high degree of confidence. His tests are not at all difficult, but you need to be intuitive to perform well.

He is a really kind man! Loves what he does and loves to teach. I enjoyed this class only because of the professor. The class was a little confusing at a point, but if you ask him for help he will help you. He likes to call on students, so be prepared. I got an A and all i did was show interest through out the semester.

Prof. Russon is great. Will call on you randomly so be prepared. He is great at what he does. The course is tough but i learned a LOT about statistical analysis from him. Very happy i took his course (thought i hated it at the time).

Professor Russon is the ideal professor to have when you are a part-time grad student. He will challenge you and make you work hard, but you will also be rewarded for your hard work and you will walk away from the class feeling like you've learned something. He can be intimidating at first, but he is a great guy who will help you whenever he can.

Professor Russon looks very serious but he is smart, funny and care for his students. He often calls students to make sure everyone understand the concepts. The course is not much about mathematics theories but about using statistical tools for data analysis. It is an easy and useful course.

Some of the reviews are true he does give tough tests. There is no textbook but be careful you need to go to each class as the tests check what you take as notes on top of his handout book. And yes he does call you. Be prepared to answer quick and you will do well.

Does not require a textbook. Class is absolutely difficult if you expect an A, but your take away from this class will be unmatched, aside from ds609 with Russon. Without a doubt, the best finance/mathematics/statisticsprofessor at St. John's. An absolute wiz. Cannot say enough good things. Truly one of the best.
