Comment:

I sucked at math, but the way he taught it helped me learn the materials easily. Even with his accent you'll understand his lectures. I took his summer course I learned the material fast and easily even though I have trouble learning mathematics.

Comment:

Professor Lopez is the best teacher at Cerritos college. I was in his algebra class for 2 semesters. He is one of the best teachers I have ever encountered. He is very professional, approachable, respectful, ready to help students at any time. I can keep going on and on without shorts of words. I appreciate him a lot. I wish him well in life.

Comment:

He is a good professor. His lectures are good. Every day is notetaking. The reason why I have received a C grade was because of testing and the exam. Math and testing are both horrible combinations for me. In order to pass this class with a good grade, you MUST score high on tests. Tests in this class are huge. Be sure to study hard when they come.

Comment:

Nine week course is not for everyone. Class is meant for students who are good at math. The professor is helpful but notes don't help with the homework. No extra credit, no late work. This class is you know math or you don't. Your grade is based on exams. There are three exams and the final, the final is based on all the other exams.

Fun, caring, and helpful teacher! He is very strict when it comes to grading and deadlines & asking for extra credit is worse to him than being punched in the face. Do your HW early because HW does play a big part in your grade. He is very helpful during office hours and will not be annoyed to repeat himself if you do not understand the question.

Took Mr. Lopez on my third try of Math 80 and I'm so glad I did. He really helped me understand math when I felt like there was no hope. Before exams, he offered students a study session (out of his own time on a weekend) to help students. He really does care about his students. Sweet guy, patient, and approachable. Just do your part & practice!

Mr. Lopez goes out of his way to help. All you need to do is ask. He is very talented and I can clearly tell he loves what he does. I took Stats during the summer, the only reason I failed was due to personal reasons, otherwise, I would have done great. I will definitely take him again.

All the good feedback that you see here is decieving. His final consisted mostly of problems that he squeezed in two class sessions which I don't find fair at all especially on a summer session. He fails to appreciate that youre really trying. Late for office hours most of the time and leaves emails unanswered.

Mr. Lopez is a great instructor he took time out of his schedule to meet up with us either on a Fri/Sat for review before a test. Homework and quizzes are online. Homework you can do it as many times to get a high score and quizzes you have 3 attempts and he takes the best score. Take advantage of this it will help your score. Test are difficult.

This is one of the better math teachers in Cerritos College. I would highly recommend him because he goes slow and steady and properly explains everything. His tests are pretty difficult tho so make sure you study! Also make sure you do the homework because it's usually worth a lot.

Mr. Lopez is one of the best math professors I have ever met... He is so patient and never rushes over material. His lectures are always nice and smooth. You can skip so much in just one day so I would recommend to not skip his class, I would highly recommend him.

His lectures are crystal clear. He doesn't go fast, he goes step by step, and his notes are clear. On top of that, he makes himself available as much as possible outside of class. He gives review test so that you can do well. Tests make up a huge chunk of your grade so make sure to do well on those... the rest is easy.

If youre a visual learner, then his lectures will be very useful. His class is all about lectures; everyday its a new lesson. He does give hw but not on a daily. The hw is online & gives you deadlines for when to turn it in. His test can be hard but for my class, he realized it was too long & gave us extra credit. Great teacher! I DO RECOMMEND!

I've transferred now but want to praise Prof. Lopez and how understandable he made Statistics, which was regarded as a such a difficult subject at this school bc of the stigma against other professors. It's not easy, but the effort you put in with homework/studying will take you far. He's a clear lecturer and is accessible outside of class too!

He's a great professor. Very clear instructions. Only issue is that he gives A LOT of homework. Stay on top of your homework and make sure you study. It's not too difficult of a class. He's also a very tough grader so make sure you pay attention to how he wants the answers worded.

He's a great person, but his teaching style is very traditional. You'll need an access code and a printer if you want to print out his notes, which he uploads after each class. I didn't think the homework helped for the exams. There were a lot of people that he encouraged to stay in the class, but really didn't have a chance.
