Marc-David is the best professor I've ever had. Hands down. I've never left a review on this site before, but by-god he earned one. Engaging lectures, followed by class discussions that he steers expertly. I highly recommend his Innovation Leadership course to Engineering Physics students especially. It's a fun change of pace, and very high quality

His classes are always very interactive and engaging. He is definitely one of my favorite professors and this was also one of the most valuable classes I've taken. You can tell that he really cares about his students and leads discussions through insightful questions to allow us to think more critically on our own.

One of the best profs I've ever had. Cares about his students, runs class in a very engaging case-based discussion, good sense of humor. Do your readings and come to class prepared or you won't add value and you'll feel awkward

This new course is really different than the others I have taken. It is a combination of case discussions and group projects. No tests, quizzes, etc. Lots of groupwork and interviews. Really has shifted my way of thinking about entrepreneurship in a positive way. Class discussions are fun, but always end with good informative points.

The best prof i've had in 4 years at UBC. I recommend him to every person in commerce, even if you aren't in HRM take one of his courses for an elective. Unlike any other commerce prof he forces you to be realistic instead of bsing through reports and presentations like we've all gotten excellent at. Take any of his courses!!!!

Note: also took COHR 307 and COHR 311 with Marc-David. Excellent overall prof. Would HIGHLY recommend taking any course offered by him. He has an extremely unique approach based on cases and class discussion plus a group term project. There are no notes or exams, but you still find yourself learning a great deal. Take his courses!

I thoroughly enjoyed his unique pedagogy (no midterms, final exam, yes case studies and projects) He's quite friendly and approachable. It's a challenging but definitely a rewarding class. His countenance reminds me of the penguin guy in Batman, but not that evil looking. This is one of the courses you'll learn a lot.

Marc-David was a very supportive professor. He has high expectations on presentations and reports. He's quite funny and quite cool to be around. I totally enjoyed the simulation, it was so much fun. (For his COHR 307 course, he expects a LOT, and the cases are hard, and hard to participate, as everyone is fighting to do so). No final exam :)

He's the -BEST- prof I've had on campus. I took his COMM 292 in my first year at Sauder and he totally inspired me to go into HRM. Now I'm taking his COHR courses and he actually makes you learn something in each and every class. Extremely inspiring, knowledgeable, and respectful to his students. If you are reading this right now, GO REGISTER FOR HIS CLASS!!!

Top-grade professor, answers hundreds of emails during exam season just so his students don't stress out about details. Hilarious and provides interesting examples to engage students. Never a dull moment in a class because we always had in-class experiments and he constantly kept us interested in the material. Truly stellar professor!

I love this class. The cases cover such a wide variety of industries - but after the case discussions it becomes clear how everything is related and connected. It makes all of the stuff we learned in OB make sense in terms of how it actually works in the real world. Marc-David's style keeps us on our toes, and I actually enjoy reading every day!
