Quizes are heavy on concepts and sometimes trick questions. Tests are the opposite, easy algebra as long as you can set up equations that she gives you on a formula sheet. Overall not bad. She cares too much, making you go over your test in office hours before you can take it home.

Very nice lady, and can be quite funny at times. Her lectures are boring af (I hate physics though, keep that in mind...). Discussion is painful to sit through but can be helpful, so definitely go. Tests will be easier than you are anticipating. Quizzes are heavy on concepts and not so much on numbers.

She's a great professor and is very patient. Go to her discussion classes because those questions will show up on tests. She is also very helpful during office hours and goes the extra mile to ensure that students understand the material. Tests are straightforward and quizzes are loosely from powerpoints she posts online.

LOVE HER! She is super sweet and explains everything clearly and gives plenty of demonstrations and leaves time for questions. Her discussion is really helpful because the questions we go over in it are similar to the questions on the test. Highly recommend!

She's very kind and really cares about her students but isn't the most effective at delivering information. Spent too much time on some stuff in the beginning and not enough on the harder stuff towards the end. I wouldn't take her if you don't already have experience with physics - you'll get lost. If you don't understand something go to office hrs

Genuinely a nice teacher, but can be difficult to understand in class. She gives a lot of extra credit and drops a test and quiz to make up for a difficult class. She has powerpoints in her class folders, so if you stay on top of them, you can do well on the exams and quizzes without relying too much on her lectures.

Dr. Udo runs things like she would a class of kindergarteners. She explains things very clearly using a lot of demonstrations and pauses for questions. At the same time she can be strict and sometimes dismissive if she thinks you are trying to argue with her, but she is understanding. Weekly quizzes, HW, 3 test, and opportunities for extra credit.

This course applies a lot more calc based physics than the 125 course did so a lot of people struggled making the transition from algebra based physics to calc based physics. She is super open to talking to students and helping them understand the problems and concepts and also offers extra credit. Do the homework & ask for help and an A is doable

Professor Udo is a genuinely kind and caring woman, yet a horrid professor. She does not listen to students' questions and rather answers what she thinks you're asking. If you clarify, she'll go off on a tangent and disregard the original question. I found myself not going to class to just read the textbook, which was better than going to class.

Over all the best physics professor I've had. Very good lectures. She is a bit of a tough grader but offers extra credit and permits turning in late HW with only a slight reduction in points. All around great professor.

She's genuinely a nice person, but she's so bad at explaining things. It's very hard to understand her during lectures. Four quizzes, two tests, the final and MasteringPhysics. Quizzes were nearly impossible (harder than the tests!). She gives very little time to complete them. Most of the class failed them. Very unhelpful.

Physics major here, honestly thinking of switching majors as she made me dislike the subject. Gives very little time for quizzes that have 20 questions and multiple calculations for most problems. Tests are not so bad but if you mess up on 1 question you can't get over 80% as the problems are all worth 20%-30% out of 100%. Take attendance daily.

Not the best at explaining concepts. HW is online and you can get over 100%. The due date for hw is somewhat flexible since you lose very little credit for it being late. Can get over 100% on some tests as well. Drops a test for the final if you do better on the final. Weekly quizzes and she drops lowest. If above sounds good then take her.

She is terrible at explaining concepts and just forces you to do problems, even when you ask her to help you explain the concepts first. Would not ever recommend her. Only take her if you have had prior physics understanding, otherwise, take someone else.

Very fair teacher. Not the best at explaining topics during class but she assumes that you've taken physics before. See her at office hours if you need help. You can get over 100% in HW.

She does not know how to explain the concepts well. She started off the first two weeks with amazing clarity. And right when you couldn't switch classes she started wane. DO NOT TAKE HER if you want to understand physics. Take her if you like to be lost and confused. The damn book doesn't help either. TAKE SOMEONE ELSE.

if you can take someone better do it! its not impossible to get an A or B but you have to read the horrible book because she doesn't teach much. she was a lot more helpful last semester and she sped through material when she was running out of time at the end of the semester weekly quizzes, 3 tests, online hw, and a final

Pretty simple class if you just do book problems and mastering physics. Read the book if you don't want to pay attention in class. I couldn't learn the way she taught but I just read the book and still got an A. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy.

Rude and condescending. She is available and kind of helpful during office hours but she will make you feel dumb before actually helping you. Thinks too highly of herself for someone who needs to refer to her notes all the time to teach.
