To be fair, Markita is wonderfully good-natured. However, as an A student, I can understand why other students have difficulties. She's ... Not a good teacher. Wish I could say otherwise. Easy class if you're good at logic or math (as that's all basic programming is). Don't need any computer background at all (I didn't) but just good logic skills.

She is quite possibly one of the nicest people you'll ever meet, but her teaching methods are terrible. I would recommend skipping the lectures, getting someone to click you in so you get those points, and reading the book and doing all the practice problems. As for the labs, just pray you get a good TA.

Wish I could say nicer things about this prof, being that she's so nice, but I don't understand a word of what she's talking about. Fine class if you're a book learner, i suppose, or have prior knowledge in CS. I am not and have not, and her examples are absolutely no help. Good chance that if you start out lost in her class, you'll stay that way.

Did not enjoy this class. She is kinda crazy.. If you are going to take this course make sure you have some background in computer science or you most likely will be out of luck. Was not very clear in her lectures and tests were quite dificult. WOuld not recommend.

Ok so she is crazy, but she is one of the few teachers that cares, which means she is often willing to work with you. Lectures are a bit pointless but reading and the labs are vital. Her tests are pretty hard. All in all a good class

This professor is one of the worst I have ever had. She doesn't explain topics clearly during lecture. I learned more from my lab teacher than her. I went to her office hours and she was still unable to explain major topics. She doesn't round grades either which is also bad. avoid this teacher if you can.

if you dont have any previous knowledge than you might struggle in this class. its important that you GO TO LECTURES. you take in class quizzes that you must take! plus go to labs. you get attendance points and they are helpful for the lab projects. prof is a little kookie but nice.

I had no previous experience with computer programming, and found this class relatively easy.. Lectures were incredibly boring and paled in comparison to the lab sections in terms of usefulness. Tests require you to think like a computer, which is a bit ridiculous, but I suppose the only thing that can be done. Overall, she is a nice lady

The class is pretty easy, only if you've had programming experience. If not, good luck. She makes some mistakes in class and sometimes fails to inform the other classes. GO TO THE LABS!!!!!! Tests are pretty ridiculous, bad wording and confusing. Dresses up like a magician sometimes.

Going to class is a waste of time because you don't understand what is going on. But going to labs are a must! and it is really easy to get help from her or the TAs. However, the tests are killer! they are full of trick questions. but she curves the test a lot.

Professor Price didn't always keep me on the edge of my seat, but I still think she was a good professor. I don't know how people can do bad in this class when there are so many extra credit options available. She acts like a robot on the first class to show what programming is. If you are in college and like to be treated like you are 5... she is great for you I suppose. Then again there aren't many better choices when it comes to a programming class.... pick your poison.
