Megan is awesome!! Super funny and nice. Scary at first. Lots of work but if you show the effort she will grade easier. Before every big assignment go to office hours and she will literally read it and fix it. Or tell you how you can get an A. Favorite professor at Iowa. She is very caring.

I absolutely love Megan. She is my favorite teacher that I've ever had and I'm not a huge teacher's pet, she's just hilarious and SO caring and it really stands out at a big school like Iowa. I wouldn't be surprised if she sat down and talked to me for hours on end. Also, she's only a tough grader if you don't show effort! 100% recommend.

She is so meticulous it's insane. She expects every little thing to be absolutely perfect. I'm not sure she realizes that this is a gen ed course. She grades really hard and she gives out so much homework. Don't expect to get a good grade, and don't go on your phone or she might eat you. (seriously)

I will say she is super excited about her subject and really tries hard to help the student. she is a REALLY tough grader though (she admits she hands out C's) and there are many assignments. But she is helpful and it is a 4 sh course. As long as you try hard and put in effort you can get a good grade

One of the best professors I've had here! So nice and so clear on everything required for homework. The assignments are, for the most part, reasonable (with some interspersed busy work). If you make an effort she will reciprocate.

She will give you advice on how to fix your paper which if you do she could end up giving you a worse grade. Not helpful at all and the structure of the class is awkward. You should think twice about picking this teacher.

She grades really tough. If your papers aren't exactly what she wants you will get a bad grade on it. If you disagree with her she will take it out on your grade. It is a gen ed course, and she doesn't realize that.

Megan really cares about students and will always help you with questions. She's great in class. Papers can be hard, but she's totally clear about what is expected. She gives great feedback and helps you to improve. She's also really kind.

Fabulous teacher, very dedicated to students and is very adamant about hard work (it pays off in the end trust me!) She is VERY helpful. Her teaching guides/handouts are great and she is very timely on handing back major assignments (with extensive feedback too!!) AWESOME

She's definitely a great teacher and CARES about what she's teaching..if you don't care about classes and are only taking the class to take it, you might not like her..she's witty and intelligent, and is the most helpful teacher I've ever had... I'd definitely recommend taking her class.

Why would some of you people sign up for the ACCELERATED rhetoric class, and then complain that the teacher makes you work hard? Duh! She's a fantastic teacher, knows how to make you THINK. She's the most helpful teacher I've ever had.

I would agree with the person who said it was a difficult class. It truly is, you ask her for help and she doesn't give it to you directly because she'll end up confusing you more. I would recommend finding another rhetoric teacher if you want an easy grade.

Megan is an awesome teacher. She is definately NOT confusing. People who can't get better than a C on a paper probably shouldn't be in this class anyway. Her classes fly by and she always makes sure everyone knows what's going on. MEGAN IS THE****!
