Comment:

If you have the fortunate ability to take 110 at a different time and professor, do that!! Branca stresses a differnt mathematical view. Her tests are rediculously long and difficult and if you don't share her thinking strategies, it will be a tough course. She assigns a lot of homework and her answers to questions aren't clear.

Don't take her, she is awful! Don't waste you time with her, she does not explain, or care about her class, and she is useless, keeps being promoted in her department, but REALLY IS AN AWFUL TEACHER. This is a warning, run the other direction!

This is not your typical math class! Open your mind! Branca is awesome and she wants you to look at math differently, she is willing to help if you are willing to ask questions. Everyone needs to grow up. She's awesome, don't be scared! But be prepared, it is challenging!

Very disorganized. Ask for you to do work one way and asked for another on the test. Then when you do it they way she asks you get points off. half of class dropped her 2 people got A's and everyone else C's (no B's) and says its our fault for not studying. Never had enough time to finish all the q's on the test. 30 q's must show all work ALL.

I have 48 units and GPA of 4.0. I still have to figure out what she is talking about. She knows so much that she will overflow the class with a rainbow-tsunami of hand-outs. She run, she miss an order... I don't get it. so far: it is a mess. Let's see at the end. Stay tuned for more.

At first, i was skeptical taking her for Stat coz of the negative feedbacks bout her. But i was totally wrong. She's pretty good at teaching Stat. Although she give too many handouts, it help you to understand the concept better. The tests were hard but its on curve. If you'll take this class, get more days!

for me this teacher was very helpful and knowledgeable. whenever anyone asked for helped she was willing to explain until they understood. grades on a curve. material can be confusing but she helps more than the book. only thing is that she gives out way to many hand-outs.

Her class was really easy and fun for the most part. She isn't organized so we had no idea when everything was due, until about 2 weeks before the end. But the assignments take less then an hour to do for the most part. The class was very informative; I enjoyed it. Except for other students who do not seem able/intelligent enough to be teachers

Extreme amounts of homework and she doesn't explain things very clearly all the time. Easy to pass if you do ALL the homework. She was never there for tests, so you couldn't ask any questions. Nice enough person, but kinda strange.

Terrible teacher - is often late to class, or doesn't show up at all, yet expects perfect attendance from students. Is rude to students, gives conflicting instructions for assignments, and never gives feedback. Didn't learn anything here that I didn't already know.

Mrs. Branca is a very nice person, but maybe should be teaching higher levels than CC. She has a great knowledge of mathematics, no doubt,yet her teaching style could improve a lot for the CC level! Lots of homework that will not be discussed enough in class and hard exams. Grades on a curve. Consider taking someone else!

Everyone who says that she's hard is lazy! If you do the homework and study like you're supposed to in any class, you'll do fine! I had her for Math 110, 111, and 112. She gets mad if people don't ask questions and she has every right to be! She is only preparing you for the upper division which, compared to her will be TOUGH.

Great teacher!!! She is funny, smart, and makes sure you know the material. Don't miss class and pay close attention to lectures or you will be LOST! She makes many many handouts which all help you to learn the material. Great teacher, A++!
